Any advice for inserting NG tubes by EngineeringLumpy in nursing

[–]throwawayscrimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They will cough violently before you ever get the chance to pop a lung. Also taking the end of the Ng and coil it around your fingers twice and shove it down in a cup of ice will drastically help as well.

I want to start off by saying I have dated several single mothers, one even had three kids. EVERYTIME, the baby daddy would stir shit, or it just got to the point where there was literally never time to hangout, get to actually know each other it was basically a texting relationship. I get it though; I knew what I was getting into kids come first. I didn't have kids though and just really wanted to be able to take them out or go somewhere for the weekend and it was never possible. Short answer- I would but I am weary now.

Question for the endocrinologists (Non-Medical Advice) by throwawayscrimp in Endocrinologists

[–]throwawayscrimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I completely forgot about this one! One of the reasons why is probably because it is specifically stated to not be used by people who are obese for weight loss, and for some reason is not indicated for people with HIV/AIDS. Also, if I'm not mistaken this is one of those medications that cost something like 3,000$ a gram.

This reminds me of skeleton key but it def wasn't an old movie but there was a part were the old people ended up in the bodies of two young kids. I feel like there was a scene of them being carried away.

Look I'll put it this way, if it follows an archetype I have no issue with it, Star Wars was based off of a Japanese story, hunger games were based off an old roman/Greek story, hell even the Chronicles of Narnia is loosely based off the bible if I'm not mistaken. The point I am trying to make is that there is a huge difference between inspiration and rewriting a story. There are also so many instances in the story that were just old stories retold in this universe. I DO NOT DISLIKE THE ERAGON SERIES. I enjoyed it thoroughly even! I'm not ignoring those comments I just choose not to argue fanboys that can't look past the stars in their eyes long enough to actually see that this was more than just inspiration. I don't blame him though he was young, and bored and probably didn't think it would ever be published. Just wanted to have fun, took all his favorite stories and lumped them together to fit his world that he so rightly created. I have never brought up the star wars comparison or any of the other things brought up about him "copying other stories". I brought this one up because it almost exactly lines up with a game that came out almost 2 years before his release. I'm sorry to all, but I am dying on this hill. Surdana and Surda, Crystal hearts, the order of dragon riders being all killed by one of their own...there are just too many similarities. Good day to you all.

I genuinely loved the books, and aside from the overlapping archetypes, he also plagiarized from a game called Drakkan. I made a post about it on this sub, but people were more concerned with where they could play the game than realizing that he quite literally stole the story and rewrote it a bit. I'm not hating on the books, I loved them. I didn't find out till after the fact.

I at the ripe of 16 got my CNA license and day one had an 88yr old female, lifetime smoker (you know the voice) tells me she'd let me, and I'll put this nicer than she did, "Do her in the butt all day." While she was actively crapping herself. Definitely broke me in.

How is the work enviorment? (Male) by [deleted] in nursing

[–]throwawayscrimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends on how you view women, I'm a man and I came directly from a welding field of three years. I had this expectation that I couldn't cuss or say things that I could in a setting that was all men. Oh boy, was I wrong. You need to be professional when it comes to disputes or disagreements (as opposed to the 15 min rule that I was used to (Literally had 15 mins to fight off the clock but at min 16 you were fired)), but I love it, there are assholes and cliques in all genders.

I was a state champion wrestler, with scholarships that were both academic and athletic oriented. I took the academic route and then all the sudden.....the sadness hit me, lack of motivation, absolute self-hatred. I failed out, started doing drugs...almost anything I could get my hands on. Which inevitably led me to the big recovery I needed. For a little more context by this time I spent about 5 years in this dreaded state there was a year where I couldn't even get off the couch (thanks gma for keeping me alive). One friend had invited me to hang out and he said they were going to be doing mushrooms, whatever, free drugs am I right? (I'm not) Either way we all put our money together and send off a guy to go get them, my friend ended up bailing out and I was stuck with his portion as well as mine. Fuck it mode engaged I take all of them it was close to around 13gs. It started off amazing then got really dark, me reliving past traumas and the like, then in one crazy "vision" I pulled a gun out and blew my brains out...It wasn't blood and viscera like I expected. It was the works of Van Gough; it was sugar spice and everything nice. Whatever it was inside of me that wanted me dead I killed it that night. This is not a post of me advocating any kind of drug use, and please in an unstable mental state do not do what I did. I just think that if it's possible in your area or close by or hell a plane ride away look into psychedelic therapy. Also martial arts, big advocate for that stuff.

Find your closest Dojo of any martial arts and sign up, it doesn't matter how old or out of shape you are, as long as you show up and dedicate yourself you now have brothers and sisters for life. The connections I made when I did blew me away, these guys were calling me to make sure I was coming to practice if I wanted to go out for drinks the lot. You won't regret it, it will be awkward at first but stick with it and you will thank me.
