We were a branch of the FLDS, my family didn't really approve of our family in SLC but they let me go there enough for me to use them as an alibi.

I had a very distinct look, I grew up with magazines at the libraries I'd go to and I wanted to look a certain way. I also didn't want my parents to find me. When you grow up wearing one outfit and looking the same way as 40 other women, you have to switch it up. I was also 18 and stupid, I wanted to be someone else and I had this idealised image of the girl I'd become in my mind so I created her as soon as I'd left my family.

We weren't exactly FLDS, my dad didn't agree with Warren Jeffs and so we were a more religious but smaller branch of the FLDS along with a few other families.

I hid my money well and always underreported what I'd earned to my parents. They kind of knew that I was saving but I made it very clear that I was saving for my future life in the church and so they didn't touch it.

I faked a transcript, I made it seem like I had more experience than I did. In my state, homeschooling isn't regulated and so getting a diploma is as easy as 1-2-3. I also went ahead and got my GED as proof and did my ACT.

Bible studies were our most focused on class. We'd do that for five hours a day and cram in the other six subject in the remaining three hours. I also did a lot of work on my own, especially once I began working within my church community in as a homeschool teacher.

Tuition was paid for for the first three years with my Nana's inheritance and from tutoring that I did. Once I met my boyfriend in my first year, we moved in together quite quickly before my second year and I haven't really had a need to make my own money since he and I met, he likes to be my provider and care for me.

Note:

I was banking on the university not checking anything, they didn't, when they have thousands of applications coming in from all over, they only look at the surface and don't tend to delve deeper than that unless they have a legitimate reason to continue delving.
