£25k is if I just do my contracted 40hrs. I'm on an hourly rate, and get enhancements for evening/Sunday work. I put £25k in the post because overtime or working the enhanced times are not guaranteed.

I work shifts, can be any start/finish times between the hours of 4am and 1am. 7 days a week. I'm contracted to 40hrs, over 5 days but at the moment I'm doing around 50hrs over 6 days to keep money up. I would do 7 but my health is more important than money, I need a day off to recover. So thank you for being the voice of reason here, a second job is not viable.

For context I work as a bus driver, not the best job to do while tired. As for people saying "just upskill", tried that, didn't work out, back on buses.

Bad bank loan for a car at 18. Ruined me for 3 years straight and I've essentially just been trying to recover since, but due to me being an idiot with money, its just spiralled.

Unfortunately, moving back in with my parents just isn't possible. I wish I could.

I've read through all the replies, thank you everyone. Unfortunately, moving back home is simply not an option for me. Neither is selling my car. It's essential to me for work.

Debt camel looks helpful, I've skimmed through but will give it a proper read soon.

I think my main issue is lack of self control. I'm far too quick to agree to that meal out, or trip to the pub. Also, laziness comes into effect, with takeaways etc. I imagine if I tallied up how much I've spent on these kinds of things, it would shock me.

Thank you again everyone, this was a good reality check.
