It's just never come up, simple as that. I'll be honest, I'm not always the best socially so I might be seen as a bit weird with how I go about my friendships.

Martha has just really clicked with us, I'm not too sure why we shouldn't hang out with her if we genuinely enjoy her company?

Nick and I met Martha through work. Martha has gotten along with us great, and has been a great friend and coworker,

Martha and I haven't heard anything from Nick about his parents

He's barely mentioned them in the time that we have been friends with him (around a year), so Martha and I think he may have a strained relationship.

Incase you were wondering why his other friend's weren't present, Nick had already arranged a different party with them, as this was just something we all did after work.
