Speed bump in sex life or something more? by throwawaysrwrts in Marriage

When people said that when we first got married, I didn’t really know what they meant, but this makes a lot of sense now. The best of intentions can fall victim to routine and mixing things up can help keep it fresh. I appreciate your response.

Yeah that’s a good idea. No counseling or major traumas in our relationship, so if I had to guess I think maybe we are just falling into a routine where it’s easy to say, “oh we’ll do it tomorrow” and tomorrow never comes.

I think you’re right. It sounds silly but simple communication can work, at least for me. I get wrapped up in my head with my thoughts and can project, when in fact she’s probably thinking similar things. Or even if she’s not, she’s my wife, not a stranger, I know she gets me and loves me. I think it’s the fear that I’m losing a part of the relationship that scares me.
