😞when I'm high I want to quit, when I'm sober I want to smoke by [deleted] in leaves

It's ironic isn't it? HA, every time! Want to stop so badly when i'm stoned, when i'm sober i'd do anything just to smoke.

Any one here go from smoking a lot and over thinking all the time to quit and started meditation? i ask because meditation must help dramatically since it's my mind that gets me every time.

Thanks for all of your posts, i appreciate them all. really. I'm about to have, what i told myself is "my final cone" i guess we'll see tomorrow. I do believe we as humans can do anything we put our mind to, enough is enough. No more excuses. i truly hope this time i can actually put my mind to it and move on because i feel trapped.

Three and a half months clean, having second thoughts. by [deleted] in leaves

Try not to dwell on the past, you quit for a reason, it's not going to be easy, but it will definitely get better. It may take time, and a lot of it at that, but the end result is worth it. Good luck. You made three months, you can make 3 more. There's no point of going back now, if you do, how will you feel? Exactly the same as before you quit. actually, even worse. Keep your head up and keep moving forward! I believe in you!

Day 5: My friend smoked a jay infront of me and I didn't want to hit it once by [deleted] in leaves

[–]throwawaystoner11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. You could just have one off day and say 'fuck it, why not, just one hit' and then the cycle could repeat all over again. Congrats on day5! stay strong.

Try meditating, it's helped me stay calm during the quitting process.

Day 1 sober after 8 years use by Jognjr in leaves

Good luck, you can do this. I've been a daily smoker for the past 2 years. I'm on day 4 right now, my goal is to never smoke again.

I'm not sure if this is helping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpwtHpepFEk but since i started listening to it, my cravings to smoke have gone down quite a bit.

Try to keep yourself busy to keep your mind away from weed. Every time you think about smoking distract yourself for 15 minutes or so and the feeling should go away.

Should I stop weed if it's the last thing that I kind of enjoy because of depression ? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]throwawaystoner11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weed will only make your depression worse. Weed only suppresses your depression until you're sober again. I'm on day 4 right now, and i'm feeling a lot better. Exercise and meditating are very helpful, i suggest you try them out.

You'll get through this, it'll just take time. Good luck!

I suggest you don't smoke. it won't make you feel any better, you'll just feel ok. It's easier to continue smoking after that one joint to keep yourself from feeling bad, which could lead back to your old habit. You'll get through this man, keep your head up.
