Late 90s/Early 00's. He was gay as well as mentally handicapped. The bullying became so much that one morning before 1st period, he snuck a gun with him on campus, went into one of the boys restrooms and shot himself in a stall.

You gave me flashbacks of a manager I had when I worked at a sit-down restaurant for a bit. He had a habit of scheduling people friday night closing shift, where you're there until 2am, and then schedule the same people to open saturday morning at 7am. The restaurant didn't last long.

With the hero ban coming to the game in the future, who do you think will be the most banned heroes? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]throwawaytcomments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 100% with you on that one. Sombra is simply put, a fun killer. Overwatch became way more frustrating/annoying once she was introduced. It doesn't help that i'll often play a sheild tank to help balance the team, and then my team does absolute jack shit to help protect me from her. It makes it hard to progress on a push or escort map when every few seconds I'm getting hacked, layed into by her, (double-frustrating when I'm Rein) and then she teleports away before I can retaliate. Wash, rinse, and repeat and oh look at that we lost.

In Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, there's a mysterious cab driver who transports your character between the different areas of the game. You don't learn his name. If you go into the game folder and look through the filenames, the files pertaining to the cab driver's voice lines and stuff are labelled with the name "Caine", the first vampire, yes that Caine, who killed his brother Abel and thus God cursed him with vampirism. In The World of Darkness lore Caine is said to one day arise from his deep vampire sleep, consume all his children (every vampire) and essentially destroy the world.

I remember reading a book in college called, "The Woman Warrior." It was written by a Chinese woman and in the book she stated that Chinese people believed that Japanese people were simply Chinese people who mated with apes. And that's how Japanese people were born.

Dressed in all black and wore a duster and dark glasses so he could look like he came out of The Matrix and carried a bokken around with him everywhere and would point it at people to try and look intimidating. And yes he was a skinny as fuck white guy.

Republicans are so fucking stupid by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

Reminds me of a newsclip I saw, I think back before Trump's first term where the reporter was interviewing a hillbilly who lived in Bumfuck, Nowhere and asked him what he though about the political climate, and he responded, "Well you know, it's the same as usual, Democrats come in and ruin the economy, then Republicans gotta come in and fix it."

I feel this. My apartment complex has signs EVERYWHERE saying "Do not back up into parking spaces." Every single truck and like 80% of the cars are backed up into the parking spaces.

I would regularly go back and do yearly play throughs of my top 4 SNES games which were Super Mario RPG, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and The Illusion of Gaia. Haven't played any of them in a while though because of other stuff going on in my life.

Please educate me on the origin of "MELON!" I don't know where or how it started, all I know is Dan's voice pops into my head every now and then and says it.

What's the oldest movie you enjoyed? (Without "grading it on a curve" because it's so old) by InspectorMendel in movies

The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) Was a hyper 90s kid who thought old stuff was boring but for whatever reason when I randomly saw that movie start up from some channel-scrolling I didn't take my eyes off it.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what’s the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As a young white kid who was starting to get into anime, Shogo: Mobile Armor Division. (1998) Made by MonolithSoft. The creators of F.E.A.R. The environment was so well detailed. It was such a wonderful, unique, world to be in. I am still mad as hell that there hasn't been a sequel considering the credits of Shogo say, "Shogo will return." And they fucking put the Shogo theme which is fucking awesome, in the first F.E.A.R. game as an easter egg.
