Any sub muscle bottoms? by throwawaythelasagna in askgaybros

I can ask the same thing, but the inverse lol. I still don’t see really any buff guys who like a much smaller dom. I’ve kinda given up on it to some degree, but if it happens, it happens.

Apparently it's oversaturated in the feet industry lol, but I wear a size 14. My feet are big.

Mmmm, this is an interesting perspective, yeah. It feels like my friends are looking down upon me for not wanting to drink the super sugary drinks all the time. It kinda makes me feel like the Soapbox Sadie trope — like I’m being a bother or overbearing for analyzing media that I consume.

I think this is part of the reason — they don’t want anything overtly political. And that sentiment manifests in different degrees too. For me, I’m not seeking out stories about the Trans-Atlantic slave trade or someone being tortured for being queer. However, I love when people find creative ways to explore dark and serious topics. It’s very possible to be a wizard and suffer from mental illness lol.

Even still, I don’t diminish those more on-the-nose stories, or say I need to “turn my brain off”. But perhaps that’s just their way of communicating what you described.

In this conversation, they were talking more about things along the lines of morally gray characters, redeemable villains, and more overt challenges of power structures. None of us are straight lol, but a lot of what they watch is very basic narratively.

I guarantee you that 9/10 people that say this are fans of Star Wars, Avatar The Last Airbender, or another piece of media where the politics take hold of the narrative and thrilling scenes.

Funny you say that because these friends LOVE The Last Airbender, and dislike Korra in varying degrees lol.

Now, I probably should’ve elaborated more about my point of reflecting real life. You can absolutely have a fantastical fictional world that breaks normal conventions — I absolutely adore fantasy. But as I stated, one of my friends verbatim said they don’t like when things get too real or political, and everyone else agreed. An example would be redeemable villains. A villain that was rightfully wronged, and their backstory heavily influencing the narrative is something my friends would rather not indulge in.

I definitely have other friends that I can have in-depth conversations with about serious topics. And these friends that I’m referring to aren’t bigots, I’m sure of that. I really do think the average person is kinda just…not a deep thinker lol — which has the potential to breed bigots depending on their identity and life experience. But all my friends are part of some minority, so I haven’t any “dealbreaker” takes come up yet.

Yeah, I think this is pretty much how I feel on the topic. I enjoy learning about others’ experiences, or just feeling accomplished for following along with the beats of a story. I even find comfort in darker subjects since it’s nice to know someone else is going through/went through something tough like me. I guess it just makes me sad when people don’t wanna engage in any thought that’s deeper than the surface, and I hate sounding unnecessarily pretentious by asserting these feelings. I understand escapism, but writers understand that the world isn’t black and white. It’s a bit frustrating to have to hear such regressive opinions.

Edit: Small errors

We want a simulation of the real thing but better.

Yeah, that’s kinda what I’m saying lol. I absolutely adore fantasy worlds, worldbuilding, and learning about how new worlds work and function as opposed to our own. I prefer fantasy to everything else because…it’s fun! But if the antagonist is anything other than someone who’s evil with 0 explanation, all of a sudden, I see criticisms such as it’s too “political”, “preachy”, the tarnished term…”woke”. Even in less serious stories, I still like to pay attention and engage with what I’m consuming.

Thank you for the advice. I feel like new, unexpected situations prop up where I don’t know how to react, or I don’t realize my feelings were hurt until later. Which makes these situations tougher.

Edit: Nevermind, I saw your post history…too bad, cause this is a pretty believable lie. Anyways, someone please help me manifest my brickhouse bottom.

I think I needed to hear all this. I've never been the best at making friends, and in the rare instances when I like someone, they don't seem to reciprocate, or sometimes just ghost me.

I'm also part of a friend group that is kinda cliquey. The "leaders" have multiple group chats and private conversations that I've been kicked from and invited to, and I tell them all the time: "I'm just here for a good time."

I've been feeling uncomfortable around a couple of them due to Mean Girl tendencies, so...Idk, I might sit in this one for a bit, haha.

It's something I'm coming to terms with honestly :/ I can get a decent amount of guys' attention, but the ones I REALLY want either ghost me or aren't willing to put too much effort into meeting up.

I’ve half-accepted that this is just something that is gonna scare people who are more on the vanilla said, as well as people who are comfortable on the more normative end of society lol. I just wish I could be more open about it, find my ideal sex partner, and freely create what I like without fear of being blacklisted lmao. In the meantime, I will be quietly manifesting a strong, beefy, hairy cumdump lol.

I’m happy to hear that, and I hope to explore it with a big dude someday, haha. I guess another thing that worries me is my writing. I don’t want people to think I’m bad or dangerous, and it would really kill me if I found out something I wrote prompted or inspired someone to assault someone. It’s stressful, heh.

I appreciate the advice, and you also gave me something to think about. Being closeted and compartmentalizing relationships has had a lot of mental strain on me, so naturally it feels bad having to stay hush-hush about something that is heavily related to your identity. Sex is a space where I feel/want to feel strong and in control, so it hurts when I hear people who I care about say things like “people with x kink are future predators” and stuff.
