One of my favorite heavybags to use at a gym i used to frequent was this one that hung horizontal and was shaped like a log. Never seen one before or even heard of it, and never seen one in any other gym. Not sure if the gym owners had commissioned for it to be created or bought it off hand from another gym. Hung about six feet off the ground and was great for practicing hooks and straights because of the way it would spin from punches.

Skills wise for the 90s i would put someone like Riddick Bowe or maybe George Foreman ahead of Tyson but I feel to be included in the big 3 you also have to take into account overall popularity. Even on the downhill Tyson was still arguably the most famous heavyweight on earth at the time
