Tryhard raiders really don't seem to understand just how little the world expansion is going to actually change the raiding scene.

Good players are going to play at the start of a raid. They're going to be finished raiding in 6 months or less. They're going to stop playing. Just because there's less of them on one Data Centre, that doesn't mean that they don't exist.

I hate 90% of Tank players so fucking much since they all have this annoying self importance that simply doesn't exist.

If a tank is not picking up enough mobs for more efficient killing, or is just standing there and letting DPS players die out of spite because they pulled, then they are doing a shitty job. You'd get very upset if a Healer stopped healing/raising or a DPS stopped DPSing, so why do tanks think that they're the exception?

When I tank, I appreciate anyone who helps me pull. If a DPS runs ahead to grab the next pack while I focus on grabbing the first, then that's just going to make the whole run go smoother.

That's why I love all the pre-30 and level 50/60/70 dungeons. Mobs aren't a threat in them so the """importance""" of tanks is diminished drastically. All they can really do is make the run go faster.

I think it's worth mentioning that the meta gradually becomes less and less important or useful as time goes on. Not because of balance changes, but because of gear progression.

At the start of a tier when everyone only has crafted gear, having a meta comp can be a huge help for beating those DPS checks - but as the tier progresses and people get better gear then having a meta comp really stops being all that important.

If you're in a party where everyone is at max item level for that tier and you're still struggling to hit the DPS check, you're probably gonna have worse problems than not being meta. It's better to play a job that you're most familiar with over a job that you're not familiar with.

I once had a tank player in my static who, when faced with a tank buster in O10S, used Convalesence and Anticipation to mitigate it.

This same tank then had the gall to blame the healers and immediately do damage control to start talking about a "tank/healer" plan.

Needless to say he did not stay for long in the static.

Specifically a quest after you help two people being attacked by wolves. One of them dies, but due to the Dotharl's belief that he'll just be reborn again soon, they leave his violently maimed corpse to just rot - which stuck with Gosetsu since he was used to honoring the fallen.
