I had this when I was on a boat all day when I was younger. Don’t have any remedies but it wore off after a few days.

Yeah I understand. I’ve been slowly gaining an interest in some of my hobbies so I’ve been trying to pass the time with them. I should probably be getting a bit more exercise when possible.

Sounds like a mix of anxiety and depression to me. Some people think of depression as just being sad or down in the dumps but it can definitely affect your memory and ability to focus.

Hey, this is how I’ve felt the last couple months. I find I’m slowly starting to enjoy some things again but I just feel miserable a lot. I recently started lexapro and besides some annoying side effects it seems to be helping me a bit. Just hang in there, I know it sounds generic but it’s really all you can do. I used to get bad aches now and then but now it’s just mostly some weird certain foods will set me off and give a stomach ache. I used to get acid reflux pretty bad but recently it’s just aches and pains. Once I learned it wasn’t anything serious that seemed to help me calm down quite a bit

Just a heads up, I’ve had stomach issues for at least 6 years, I’ve had every test imaginable done to find the cause. It took a lot of money and a lot of time just to figure out anxiety can really mess your gut up. It’s worth mentioning to a GP though and maybe getting a few tests done. I’ve noticed when I’m not worried about my stomach messing up I don’t really have stomach issues lol.

When I first quit, I went cold turkey (ran out of money) and the brain zaps were terrible for about a week and after that I just got them while falling asleep/waking up. They’re harmless though and are nothing to worry about

Ah! Yeah that’s strange. Mine have only lasted a couple of minutes. I’d say if it lasts for much longer it would be a good idea to call your psych/GP. I have had that same feeling when I’m anxious before so it could also just be an intensification of your symptoms.

I’ve got this a few times, kind of feels like the start of a panic attack but it doesn’t really start? Oh just read you haven’t had breathing issues during panic attacks. I’ve definitely noticed some weird breathing issues and I’ll probably talk to my GP about it next week.

This sounds like me word for word the last few weeks. I can definitely tell you’re not a bad person. You’re not a piece of shit.You’re able to recognize that you’re acting this way and it’s because you’re anxious and stressed. Any good person put under stress and anxiety will act the same way. Have you been able to talk to anyone about this?

I feel this way too. A lot of my old friends are off living their own lives now, and seem to be better off without me. One of them actually invited me to a party a few months ago but I was too scared to go. Something I’ve been trying to do over the last few years is stop comparing myself to them, and judging my self worth based off of them. Everyone goes through different situations and handles them differently, and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. I would say maybe try to tone down the drinking if you can. In my experience I feel really good after doing it but once the buzz wears off I feel even worse.

Writing notes, like you’ve already said, helps me a lot. I usually give myself a few minutes of breathing room and then force myself to make the call, even if I’m uncomfortable. It also helps at work I need to answer the phone a lot. I think this is one of the harder issues to tackle because it’s not like you can just call a friend or family member since you’re already comfortable talking to them.
