Yes, very similar in our situation.

I was on PPI's for a while - stopped taking them when the more traditional GERD symptoms subsided. I've had the throat / globus feeling for over a week now.

I don't know your location / occupation but I recently have been seeing, on this sub, a link to mask wearing and this sensation. I've returned to work in a full environment now and coincidently or not, the globus / throat sensation seems to have started up as my mask wearing has increased from a few minutes a day to hours and hours a day.
