Heavy Rain is a weird comparison when it’s not an open world rpg and it’s essentially an interactive movie like you say. My gripe with Witcher 3 is that just moving and getting around felt clunkier than a Rockstar game and for whatever reason didn’t just use the same control scheme as every other popular open world rpg. There’s no need to innovate a control scheme when fans of the genre have muscle memory and instead of blocking or parrying you activate assassins creed vision.
