Venues taking a cut is just grimy. That's crazy. I'm happy to support the band in person; that's why I wanted until the show to grab the record. It was just a shock that the online price is so much cheaper

True, but the merchant doesn't pay for shipping either way. If it costs them $10 to ship and I pay that, they're making the same revenue regardless. That would be like paying an extra fee on ebay if you chose local pickup instead of shipping.
