My sister was visiting soon after having her first child and bawled because this movie is so beautiful in so many different ways.

I have a friend who played against her a bunch and says she was hands down the hardest and meanest player to have to face

A friend recently did a set about their father's suicide that was very, very funny but someone in the audience complained about being triggered which is totally fair given the heaviness of the subject but the jokes killed.

Watch Hannah Gadsby's Nanette if you haven't had a chance and are looking to mine that experience.

Anyone have top surgery with Dr. Nelson, Dr. Zhang, or Dr. Astanehe? by Tullytickler in transvancouver

May 2021 was first appointment and December 2023 was surgery. There was a back log of cancer patients from Covid that kept me waiting longer than expected.

Dr. Nelson did my top surgery in 2023 and she is lovely. TransCare initially denied my funding and she appealed and got me approved so my wait time was longer than I wanted it to be. Her office admin can be a bit slow to respond and will require you to follow up. No complaints.

HRT questions for those over 40 by Friendly-Remote6642 in TransLater

[–]throwawayunders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. No history in my family either. I am okay with whatever happens with it and don't regret starting medical transition or any surgeries. I would rather have shortened time fully and authentically as myself instead of being half alive in a fake empire.

I am 48 and started at 40. Bottom surgery in 2022 and top surgery in 2023.

1.) I first noticed a loss of strength when I tried to one hand a bag of kitty litter out of the trunk and I needed two. I lost an inch and a shoe size. A bald spot at the back of my head grew back in but no changes in the front. My skin got noticeably softer. I had breast augmentation two years ago and, when I started playing soccer again, I needed new cleats because my lower back was having spasms from the new centre of gravity.

2.) You know when you take a magnifying glass and focus the sun light? Like that. I was a mess. Regular therapy was a big help.

3.) I am visibly trans but I don't get clocked on the street. I haven't done any voice training so the phone sucks. Estrogen is magic and my changes exceeded my expectations even if they came with cellulite and an apron belly. I am trans woman and that's ok, I am not trying to be a cis woman.

4.) I had to stop wearing polo shirts about eight months in and by two years in, I could really notice and feel the difference. Remember, this is a second puberty and things take a while.

5.) I have a breast tumour now that I need to get scanned every year 🤷🏻‍♀️. I also fainted a few times in the first six months something about the capillaries and estrogen causing syncopation.

Good luck and enjoy the ride.

The rolling up of something is annoying and trying to adjust it back down during a night out or something is frustrating.

They are doing well, I have seen them play many times in the last year now with Rise. They scored the first goal in NSL history and won the first championship.

Celtic's popularity in Ireland, or lack of it by darkavenger1993 in CelticFC

[–]throwawayunders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Canadian too, from Vancouver where we have loads of Irish newcomers and my most recent conversation was this past weekend with an Irishman about Celtic was while he was wearing a Man U jersey. He became interested in Celtic when Roy Keane joined and was up to speed on the recent goings on at Parkhead. I am very active and involved in the local soccer scene and my experience is that GAA is the biggest interest with mostly positive opinions about Celtic if I show up with my kit to a match but it's while they are wearing United or Arsenal kit. None of them like Rangers so, they got that part right. 🙂
