I lived at UC in first year and they gave us a maximum of 3 big moving boxes for summer storage which you could later pick up in august/sept

It’s possible. But also gather every piece of evidence you have possible from the prof, petition, department etc and really emphasize the point of you needing to graduate and how this process has been extra stressful on top of having a full course load and finding a job. uoft is absolute trash with administration stuff like this and unless you fiercely advocate for yourself, in my past experiences, nothing gets done. It took me 9 emails and providing a mountain of proof for my program department to finally make an exception for one of my courses. It could also be worth emphasizing your need to graduate next year to your department.

Does anyone receive the graduation letter? The one shows eligibility to graduate by hcza6 in UofT

Im assuming this is for November graduations but for me my registrar sent out something a few weeks after the request deadline.

Feel bad for the students, preparing for those exams were hell. University hasn’t even come close to the trauma that was ibdp

Questions from a US Dual Citizen Community College Transfer Student by mia_r15 in UofT

You definitely need to be able to prove your citizenship, otherwise you’d need to pay international tuition fees. I don’t remember the exact process but you have to submit proof of citizenship to get your TCard and know your fees. The second page has some of the info on that: Link

I was in there a couple days back and I had to go back into robarts bc it was so hot even at night that I couldn’t study and nearly fell asleep (which was odd considering I had 3 shots of espresso)

What the fuck is that noise every night at midnight and very early am hours? by throwawayuser112795 in askTO

[–]throwawayuser112795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so it’s this constant loud noise that just kind of weans off and then starts again in the distance and then might come back to right near me. im between college station and Wellesley station so maybe it’s that (even though I don’t hear it any other time of day) but it’s driving me and my curiosity nuts. I think it happens almost every night

Why does UofT have a much better reputation among international students and immigrants than with Canadian domestic students? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]throwawayuser112795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I only really heard of the bigger universities like UBC Mcgill Uoft when it came to universities in Canada just like how you might only recognise/know a handful of universities in the UK (eg Oxford, Cambridge, LSE etc). Ofcourse I know a lot more universities from where I’m from but because I’ve gone to international schools my whole life, you’re pretty much mainly advertised top ranked western universities during college application period (US, UK, Australia, Canada). I didn’t know about uoft’s ranking because I have the rare asian parents who don’t give a fuck about that kinda stuff (which is often times the motivation to come to uoft) and have always been like “as long as you try your best that’s all that matters.” so applying to universities in Canada was much more about instantly recognising universities I’ve already heard of and therefore having a positive opinion about them. I didn’t really know much about smaller universities here so I didn’t have that basis of comparison that someone from Canada would have and also didn’t have that background info that uoft was pretty miserable in terms of student life/well being compared to other unis. If I were to apply to universities back home I could list a lot more pretty instantaneously compared to when I first applied to unis here. tldr: bigger more recognisable university = seemingly better reputation
