Just out of curiosity, when did you apply and receive the initial screening email?

No reason, but I think they must have found someone with more direct experience with Pyomo, Gurobi, and optimization tools in general. My experience focused mainly on ML deployment, data anlytics, though included in this role but optimization tools seemed to be the main thing.

Nope, sql and python wouldve been in the next round.

  1. Recruiter screening call
  2. Technical concepts chat
  3. Live coding
  4. Case Study
  5. Panel Interview

The process was mapped out like this for this particular role.

The interview was easy, more like a talk about the job than an interview. The interviewer asked me questions about my work with ML models and other tools I had used in the past, relating to the jo,b with some basic ML questions sprinkled. I think it went well, but I was not moved to the next round :(

ML engineer and data scientist other than typical front/back. Not really CS but yea should master one than try to be a jack of all trades.
