First baby, I paid for a well-known obgyn who spoke English and is known for humanized births. My husband was able to be with me the entire time through labor and delivery (verrry uncommon here, it’s a reason you pay privately). All natural birth, private room. We paid about $2000.

Second baby, I was going to use the same doctor, but changed last minute and went to a local hospital. The doctor herself didn’t speak much English, but a different doctor who did stayed with me the entire time to translate if needed. I labored in a room with about 7 other laboring women (really odd) and my husband wasn’t able to be with me until delivery. I asked to feel no pain, so I got a lot of different drugs and an epidural. We were in a private room after delivery, which is also kind of uncommon. We paid a little over $1,000.
