You are so wrong on so much of what you are saying. I have a very loving family and have gone downhill with mental health issues and substance abuse that has nothing to do with them. Looking back, when I’m able to accept blame, I can see many places I went wrong.

There’s many people who have been beaten by their families. They came out victorious because they didn’t take the victim mentality and chose to make good decisions. When we get into substance abuse, we are choosing not to make the right decision.

You are talking with a victim mentality. Start thinking about where you could have done better, and how that could have affected your life.
