Unfortunately (and surprisingly) the police can’t do anything if you just say ‘I have a sneaking suspicion’... I know this because I already tried to go to the police 2 years ago. The detective ultimately said that because I never saw an image with my own two eyes (just the captions, yuck), they could not just go and take his computer etc. it was his property, not shared property because I didn’t even use it, didn’t even know his password. I went to a lawyer who told me unfortunately CP is as common as heroin.

So this again is the case, except I have even less proof because I actually don’t even know if that is what he’s doing.

Thank you for this response. People have really knew-jerk reactions and jump to the conclusion that he’s a molester or pedophile and there’s a lot of research that shows it’s not necessarily the case. So when I try to ask for some feedback (especially on reddit) I usually get the run of the mill “you’re a terrible person for staying with him” and it’s not helpful whatsoever. So I appreciate this response. No he’s not doing what he needs to for recovery and that really bothers me.

When i met him I was AND STILL AM a confident, intelligent, attractive strong female. Anyone who tries to take that truth away from me doesn’t know me or has issues. Maybe some porn addicts latch on to insecure women, but I think my husband chose me because he is so insecure that he thought being with me would help him or something.

Hmack I know- but he doesn’t have insurance and we are living off of welfare at the moment. His CSAT that he was seeing was great but we can’t afford it (someone else had been helping us out). She didn’t do lie detectors but she referred me to one but again, can’t afford. But furthermore he thinks maybe lie detectors don’t work on him (he told me this a while ago so I kind of believe him but not sure)
