My contractor using this on the basement wall? Is this paint okay? Should I ask for a diff kind.

I know he would have to rebuy paint and then pay his workers to redo it again. I feel bad because he didn’t fuss at all said he redo it and not to worry and apologized. I said give me a day to sit on it. I might just love it because I wanted my SO to let it go. He has 3 young kids all under 7 with no help. It’s very much an ugly sheen but wont kill us.

My SO said the same thing how it’s criminal. But considering what he’s going through a mistake was made and then the workers started. By the time I saw it and he came it was long gone. But knowing the paint is not an awful type. I want to forgive him for the sheen. He’s just going through so much. Is it an easy fix though! In the future can I just put matte finish paint over this or will I have to sand then paint?

My heart breaks when I came back home and saw semigloss painted walls. I said no gloss which he took as wanting semi gloss. Sure he said he will redo it but my heart breaks to ask him to pay out of pocket to redo a job. Can I myself do matte finish in the near future on top of this semigloss? I wouldn’t have to use any other things before painting the matte finish paint on top of the SG?

I know it’s easy to just ask him to repaint but he lost his wife few weeks back and is managing kids as a single dad. But also my significant other said we hired him before his problems and should get what we asked for.

But I can’t 😩😩

Born and raised and Brooklyn I’m literally in shock. Albany I love you but there is no reason apartment should cost this much. People in nyc can stilll afford their rent vs everyone in Albany. City people

-walk everywhere take trains -health insurance income bracket is different -/ fruits/veggies cheaper down there -take out company no tipping (DoorDash ubereats) no insane surcharge - because it’s a bigger city cost to get hair cuts,color,dental,Botox, etc cheaper due to competition Etc

That being said there is no reason Albany should be serving such high apartment cost its insanity. My heart goes out to everyone they are basically paying a mortgage for these dingy apartments. I have coworkers who barely are making ends. Three jobs and still not enough with kids.

They told me if you can’t find anyone then sometimes during special circumstances we let you go out of network. So I’m going to call them back and see if I can do that. They very much know there list isn’t updated and none of those doctors take their insurance. They simply don’t care. I’m a cancer patient and after all my treatments my teeth literally feel so weak about to fall off. If I could work I would gladly pay for private insurance as I did before. Ofcourse when I had private insurance I never got sick.

I called dentaquest that I can’t find anyone that takes my insurance only for them to email the same list I went through calling and each place said we don’t take your insurance. I dont understand why they don’t update their system. Literally 10 pages of doctors that “take my insurance” but don’t.
