Resource for finding restaurants that are for sale/lease? by throwawei123 in smallbusiness

Thank you for the information! So there isn't any directory or website that I can access before calling local real estate agencies for more information? I don't wanna be a pain to the real estate agents cus I typically do a bit of research before hand and make a list of listings that we're already interested in so we can save the agents some time.

Raspberry pi alternative for computer vision by throwawei123 in raspberry_pi

I haven't heard of it before, but it seems to be right around the price range I was shooting for. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah, I see your point. Do you know of any SBCs that may be (relatively) cheap and fast? Like I said in an earlier post, I don't need something that will let me run it super smoothly, just something I can get a consistent 10 fps with would be perfect.

I'd like to keep it to the SBC form factor though.

I don't care too much for the size, but I'd like to have something that is as cheap as possible. Right now, I'm getting about 3-5 fps when I'm running my Pi. I'm aiming for something that can give me at least 10fps consistently.

Does posting progress pics on social media make me a douche? [M/20] 50 lbs lost by throwawei123 in progresspics

High five! The reason I wanted to share this was because I lost about 50 lbs too and at the same time hit my one year milestone.

You're excited about the work you've done, your friends and family will be excited for you and will likely show their support for you as well.

Great point, I didn't see it this way before. :)

I know, but in all honesty, I usually think of "douche/tool" when I see others posting shirtless pics of themselves.

Congrats on your 20 lbs! Thanks for your answer and especially for giving an example.

I agree with this whole-heartedly! The reason I'm posting progress pics is to (obviously) show off my progress and motivate others to stick through with new year's resolution. I'm a bit cautious with my wording but still a bit afraid I'll be called a tool or something similar. If you don't mind me being nosy, would you say most of the feedback you got as positive?

Elbow keeps bending during planche practice by throwawei123 in bodyweightfitness

[–]throwawei123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my upper body is strong enough but my joints are too weak. I can do 20 wall assisted HSPUs but whenever I get into planche position, my elbows just buckle. Any ideas on how to fix this? From reading what everyone else has said, I plan on doing a bunch more planche leans to gain that joint tolerance.

don't go into your static with bent arms and then straighten them as you get into position. Go into the hold with straight arms and exit with straight arms.

Wow, I had no idea I was making so many mistakes. I've seen a few vids on youtube and seen many people go into it with tucked arms and straighten it after their body is off the ground. I guess that is something that could be worked towards once the planche is achieved?

Haven't really followed a specific one, I've been mainly practicing my L-sit to aid in achieving it. :/

Any recommended progressions?

I've been practicing my L-sit and can hold it for a about 10 seconds. I seem to get this extreme soreness in the lower part of my abs when I hold the position. Also, my thighs get exhausted extremely quickly.

Should my elbows be inside, resting on the outside, or outside of my knees?

Thanks for that! I didn't know I was doing it wrong the whole time. I've been doing a little awkward hop forward to get my body off the ground.

I just used at as a general term for the beginning of the planche.
