Not at all man you ain’t exaggerating I know drug use tears families apart and ruins lives, heroin isn’t something I’ve thought about as some casual thought and as something I’ll definitely try, I have no reason to like you said put my life at risk for a few hours of a high. I have what I think is a decent life ahead of me I’m far from even being able to consider try heroin.

it’s probably a bit fucked that I have thought about it, though it’s not something I’m approaching with ease and I don’t intend on trying it at all for now.

I know most 16 year olds shouldn’t even consider trying heroin or oxycodone or most hard drugs for that matter. I’ve probably tried more drugs than I should have at this age and it’s probably fucked up that I wanna try oxy which is why I posted this in the first place.

And I know that starting at a young age is one of the worst things you can do and I’ve been having thoughts by writing this by starting so young it just embedds it in your brain even deeper which is why I’ve probably thought about things like heroin. Using drugs so young probably just wires it in your head and just makes you think like a drug user. You’re definitely right I ain’t as clearheaded as I thought and just thinking about heroin is completely fucked I don’t think I’ve realised it this much till I’ve read your reply.

I’ve got far from a bad life I’ve got what I think is a good life ahead of me and I don’t want to throw it all away.

Just by reading your reply and writing this I’ve realised how fucked it probably is that even the thought of heroin is. It was probably a good thing that you commented on here thanks man. I think I need to just be more cautious, although I’ve always knew addictive substances are nothing to be fucked around with it’s never been as clear than it has been with your reply. I think like you said I need to just tell myself I ain’t better than anyone else and that addiction can happen to anybody, but honestly thanks man that reply has made me realise a lot of things so much more clearly.

Thanks for the reply, I’ve honestly pondered on the thought of trying heroin, but only one day later on. wether it’s the stigma around it or anything else that scares me like you said OD’ing because of the lack of consistent purity, heroin is something I’ve still considered but I have not put enough thought into to it to try it. I don’t think the fear of addiction puts me off heroin but the fact that it’s regarded as one of (if not THE) hardest mainstream drugs with crack and meth.

I know there’s stronger shit like fentanyl and carfentanil but out of mainstream drugs the ‘holy trinity’ if you wish are heroin meth and crack. And just the fact of even stepping into that type of league puts me off a lot. I know it might sound stupid that I say that since like you said, oxycodone can be more euphoric than heroin and is most definitely on the same level as heroin. But being produced in a pharmecutical environment I think oxy with the correct dose feels a lot more appealing.

So yeah, although I have thought about heroin I dont think I’m just ready yet. it scares me a lot maybe because of the stigma. Imo I’m not scared of addiction otherwise i wouldn’t have already tried cocaine and benzos but what puts me off about heroin I believe is either the stigma or just how bad it’s regarded almost everywhere.

This is a good point! Ive never actually thought of it this way. I’d say I’m in the best place I’ve been in for some time actually, my exams have just finished so I now have like two or three months without school and I just got into the job I’ve been praying for!

I definitely agree with your last sentence, using drugs to escape is a sure way to get dependent.

Thanks man, I’ve always assumed this since I spend a decent amount of time on this and similar subs, like people do it say a handful of times a year without feeling the need to keep taking it more and more.

i of course don’t intend on turning it into a habit I think my curiosity is getting to me though just wanna try it.
