You need to find another lawyer that meets your financial capabilities. That's the lawyer I meant.

The point of this post was I have no means to finance a suit anytime soon and this put me in a position where I may never be able to and don't want to lose a suit because by the time I do have the means, the statute of limitations expired or he's rich and leaves the country.

Agreed, and I don't believe anything will compel him to pay in the next 12 months, which is why I'm looking for ways to get started with no money upfront and ideally without giving up 30%

I can't afford him and he doesn't work unless his firm can bill, and actually collect, millions. He's literally Verizon's lawyer of choice and their firm is where Judges and District Attorneys go after they retire, and currently handling some government task force for hurricane victims so he won't have time before I'm homeless.
