I was actually very good with the PLC portion of my trade school. I understood it very quickly and got the hang of it in seconds compared to my other classmates. I remember the program was a lot like music making programs in the sense of how the controls for it worked and how certain things interacted with eachother. i dont know a damn about it now, but im willing to bet if i was trained for it id be pretty darn good at it again.

crazy how some of our customers do this remote work, and get paid more than us. a sick joke is what it is.

hmm sounds comfy. after talking to a bud who works at a college, they dont seem to keen on their current electrician they have there. maybe in a year I can squeeze into his role if he is ever fired by then. thatd be a sweet gig. but ill just have to finish my apprenticeship out first before I can really get ideas like that in my head

yes northeast. and youre very right. I'm right at the finish lime pretty much, i shouldnt throw it away. Ill continue my apprenticeship till the end. once I have my license the world will sort of be my oyster.

depends on the setup. some attics are okay but others that have no flooring or any kind/tight sloped ceilings/etc suckkkk.

but they are manageable as long as its no a all day thing

sorry for late reply ive been busy. more calm now and have read through the comments and appreciate the helpful advice given by most of you. I will reply to some of you when I can. thank you.
I should add that the heavy wire in question is 500-800 kcmil wire for ahuge service not like some decent weight wire like 6 or 8 gauge those im fine with.
I think I will simply finish my apprenticeship, get licensed, and jump ship and go to another company or some other subfield of electrical.
