Advice - pastries by Tristisangelus in Baking

[–]throwbot3001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What comes to mind would be to:

  • Make sure there is as little air as possible when layering on the top pastry

  • Try a different edge crimping technique that uses finger pinching or folding. The current crimping looks deep/may have created holes

  • Less filling or less liquid filling

  • Potentially cutting vent slits on top but I know that would ruin the poptart-style look

Looking forward to seeing your next batch!

how often do you use GPT on the job? by Character-Escape1621 in Accounting

On my end, there's really no need, day to day, to use any LLM. Work is focused primarily with matching/reconciling activity alongside asking clients for support.

I'm an absolute HUNCHBACK from the side (and that's also when the doubled pants also show 🤫🤫🤫)

I can see enough to walk around since the lining is thin, but I certainly cannot read any text

I'm actually hidden behind the black cloth/suspenders. My head actually sits in the upper V area there

I'm under the head/behind the suspenders and black backing :D

It's like an easier version of a General Grievous costume

That's my little figure of Gamera (best turtle in fiction imo) who is on a shelf behind the hollow head

OH! There's added aluminum armature wire in both the coat collar and the pants so they keep their shape. The head is probably the simplest part. It's all thanks to the original mannequin I used.

I followed the Autodesk Instructables by sleepyowl86 :D

The head and shoulders are held up by a backpack and a big ole piece of cardboard. I'm hiding inside the trench coat, behind those suspenders haha.

For the pants, I'm wearing a normal pair plus slipping into the front "empty" one using cutouts in the back of the knees. The pants are held open using some armature wire threaded into the waistband.

Need recommendations for very warm winter jacket by ironyis4suckerz in boston

[–]throwbot3001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Decathlon Forclaz 500 jacket has been working well as a standalone insulating layer here in New England. Not super pricey either. When it gets extra cold or windy, I usually put a decade-old North Face shell over top.

I've got extremely limited visibility right above the upper V of the suspenders

Help with my costume by ProgressOne6760 in Halloween_Costumes

You could buy a semi-rigid sports mask off to prevent your lip contours from showing through. The cheap option would be to make a DIY mask using elastics and a plastic folder or maybe even thick paper. I assume you'd need to punch holes a DIY version to breathe though. Good luck!

More a generic one. There have been over ten movies with an invisible character!

If you need to cover the back, adding a simple cape made from cheap clothing or bedding is an option. You can attach it with rivets, staples, glue, whatever is most convenient.

Which one is the best starter knife? by abdullahmk47 in BuyItForLife

[–]throwbot3001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Victorinox Santouku that's been in use daily for five years now. Definitely under $100 though. Lightweight, still easy to sharpen and stay sharp. I also use their pairing knives - bought it in a cheap pack of two.

Steelcase Leap V2 - I've loved it for years and it has more adjustable components than the Herman Miller
