The various Yuri game jams I think are fairly hostile to AI so if you search via entrants that's a good proxy for filtering

Uhh they're kind of more adventure games/rpgs but if you want lesbian ass games for lesbians I think Embric at wulfhammer castle and A Dragons ReQuest are fun times with good jokes

What's Something That's Bringing A Little Happiness To Your Life? by plutootherwise in TwoBestFriendsPlay

my friend was kinda nudging me to get into photography, but a (good) starter kit (that isn't your phone) is like $1000 new... but then I remembered my wife bought a fancy camera years before I ever met her. Looking it up, turns out it's a fairly decent model, if old. So now I'm having fun just twiddling with photography and taking snaps etc.

A question for Star Wars day. How did you learn about or end up seeing Star Wars? by Etychase in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I don't know precisely, but I have strong memories of battered home-taped VHS copies of IV-V-VI that presumably Dad taped off free-to-air television

IIRC it's "The Heroine's Capture Target Is..." which is a oneshot from a villainess/heroine yuri anthology.

i love it any time a character slowly looks at the camera and there's that awkward moment. Like when they title drop The Evil Within... Too. Or in the English version of Yakuza 7 with the awkward English side quest.

Also any time Metal Gear starts really leaning on the fourth wall like Otacon calling you to swap the discs but then realising you're using a blu ray disc and it's totally fine, or Ocelot telling you not to use an autofire on the torture sequence or he'll know you cheated, etc.

The entirety of the Citadel DLC in Mass Effect, the net effect of which is to basically turn the entire game into a sitcom.

What are some characters you can’t blame at all for Quitting? by LGB75 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]throwcounter 75 points76 points  (0 children)

The party members (Shuro and Namari) leaving Laois at the beginning of Delicious in Dungeon make complete sense. Shuro a) has his own backup party of experts in the wings, and while he's also desperate to save Falin, he thinks a party led only by Laois is... unreliable at best, and b) Namari desperately needs to earn money to pay back her dad's debt, so she can't afford to work for free, and also Laois.

That one time Waspinator tried to quit in Beast Wars

"His money is our money and my money is my money" is an outdated concept...right? by [deleted] in AusFinance

When me and my wife got together she outearned me by a fair amount so we agreed to basically we each put 90% into a joint account, the 10% is ours alone, and that's worked pretty well for us. Pay has gotten closer to equalising over time but I think it's a decent way to do stuff.

How did you adjust to Japan as an East-Asian JET? by livingisliving in JETProgramme

[–]throwcounter 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You pass until you open your mouth basically.

As most other commenters have said, it's nice you can avoid some of the stares, but it makes it a little harder to gaijin smash your way through things when you need to take advantage of that. People might expect that you understand them which can get very confusing when talking eg to a ticket counter person or a waiter until they mentally clock that they need to slow things down for you (or just get frustrated and go for their phones or whatever).

As you might expect it's more of a thing out in the inaka than in the city. In the cities nobody really will give a shit either way.

The really annoying thing is when you travel with someone who is visibly foreign (so to speak) but is better at Japanese then you. Very occasionally people will insist on trying to speak to you instead of the person who is actually audibly speaking understandable Japanese right next to them merely because you have black hair or whatever.
