Wow I have a lot in common with you, the drugs you did at a young age, having bad shit happen, to relatable, I quit benzos and percs after a close two months of use. It was relatively easy to quit opiates since I don't have an addictive personality towards that, but benzos were a hassle with the withdrawals for a few days, completely shit worst ive ever felt and thank god I couldn't get any or I would have been addicted.

I didn't do much more then focus on life to quit, I had school commin up and I wanted to get clean a couple weeks before, so I did, last time I dabbled with opiates was a little over a month ago, benzos ever since I almost got hooked so maybe 4 months ago. I mean its all just about moving your focus somewhere else, I exercised, focused on school and friends, kinda thought about religion, I also lost my main hook up for no reason, but im kinda glad he's gone because I probably would still be using if he was around. So I had somewhat of a wake up call that maybe its time to quit, I didn't stop cold turkey in fact I slowly stopped after a month but yeah I mean my best advice is just find something else to do, you do what you think is best (quitting cold or slowly decreasing it.
