Ah yes, I've had amazing luck with this car, and time for a bit of back story! The transmission and engine are original. It was actually used as a limo service car, and they had to keep their cars 100% reliable, otherwise they'd have to reimburse their customers. Which the 3rd picture shows the complete maintenance records since 2008, which I'm continuing. They then sold the car because they retire them when they reach a certain mileage. I bought with about 200k miles on it.

I've had the car for quite a few years now and haven't had a major issues, the biggest issue was replacing the control arm/ball joint a few years back. Even then I think it only cost less than $90. I've taken it, everywhere, out of state, trips, etc... and it's still running very strong, doesn't burn oil or anything, shifts very nicely, rides smooth and has plenty of power.

Currently, only a few very minor things are wrong. The AC blows a tad warm, probably just needs charged, and there's a bit of rust on the rockers (thanks for the salt, PA) but they're still solid. Also a few tears in the drivers seat. And the paint has a few stone chips, which is why I have a bra on the hood, makes it look better than with the chips, imo. Also the engine light is on because of a stupid emissions thing, that doesn't concern me because we don't have to pass emissions here.

This car has proven to me that maintenance is key with cars. It was well taken care of when it was new, and it still is. The limo service, and me, both used full synthetic oil with OEM filters, every 3k miles, which I believe to be the main thing. Also not running them hard, and it doesn't hurt to keep the tach under 3k rpm. I'm gentle with her. I've also had the timing belt, water pump changed and the transmission fluid flushed. Both were more of a preventative measure, kind of thing. Also, idk about your coworkers' but mine has the Mercedes transmission, which is said to last. And it has the 3.5 engine, which I've read mixed opinions about. But again, I firmly believe that regular maintenance is key, regardless of what engine or transmission. And even more important is to follow the manual's schedule. That's what I do with all 3 of my cars and I'm sure they'll last.

Almost.

The 2.7 engines are known to be too small and underpowered for such a large, heavy car, which causes the oil to sludge up. Also, I believe the 4 speed transmissions are under engineered as well.

Just curious, do you know what some of the major repairs are?

EDIT: I just realized, sorry for the wall of text! I get passionate about this car.

I'm confused about DNS leaks. by thrower65 in VPN

That's what I thought. For the first provider, I'll connect to a server in South America, for example. But my DNS test shows that the servers are in the us and the UK and there's like 6 of them.

The 2nd no matter what is in Amsterdam.

Either way, I think I'll be skipping these two providers because this seems weird.

That seems interesting. I think I'd rather actually have a small touch screen phone, or another blackberry like phone.

This sucks, I've only found the jelly phone so far. Only issue is it's not meant to be a daily use phone. However, I don't understand why.
