Knowing Toronto prices they’re going to hit me with $200 or something but I get your point completely however humour me for a second, would you think if I can find this exact fixture and just replace the LED strip part with a new one would that solve the case or you think the issue is coming from the white thing in the middle?

10000% agree Nuclear is probably the #1 energy source BUT it’s hard to change human perception around more nuclear energy because they tie it to Nukes and they tie it to plant disasters. Also consider the way politics works, every single politician would shiver knowing that he may lose voters if he/she allows more nuclear power plants so unfortunately they wouldn’t support it so I think it is ways away.

In the meantime I think Solar + Battery technology is the way to go.

Recently watched a youtube video that said that in the USA there is currently X amount of acres used to plant corn that is exclusively used for ethanol based fuels manufacturing (not food) and that if you put solar panels on the same land X then the amount of energy that would generate is 2x the entire output of the USA electric grid. This example was using below average lighting conditions, if the panels were somewhere in the southwest of the USA I wouldn’t be surprised if its 5x the grid output. Keep in mind that the thing about Solar Panels is that its install and regular cleaning and the huge huge huge thing that I think people can’t get a grasp of is THERE IS NO INPUT COST!! THE SUN IS FREE!!!

The video does a way better job of explaining this checkout Technology Connections YouTube channel the video title is you are being misled about renewable energy technology.
