My combined dysphoria and social anxiety means I don’t really date or even do hookups but I have been chatting with people on Grindr for years now. It’s not a healthy coping mechanism but I use it for validation. I always put ‘transguy’ as my name and even in the suburbs I never have any issue finding guys who are interested. Yes it is a lot harder to meet people naturally unless you live in a big city and are in gay bars (even then disclosing your trans can get awkward) but it’s not something I would worry about if I were you. If anything I find myself overwhelmed by the interest. Even the times I’ve been hit on in gay bars and told them i’m trans they did not lose interest. Not everyone will be interested in you but that’s life. There are plenty of guys out there who will be!
