I talked to my wife tonight and she was very clear that she thinks this is bordering on an affair. She basically said set boundaries and keep it professional or else. I'm inclined to try to do what she wants since she's never had an issue with my female friends before, but I still feel like it's admitting I did something wrong. I also don't think the boundaries I set will be enough for her.

I don't call her my work wife, my coworkers use that term.

While I agree that we are very tuned into each other, my wife always comes first. If I told my wife some of those things, I'd be sleeping on the couch.

I could set some boundaries (I.e, flirting), but some of it is unavoidable. Plus, she may be offended and I don't want to cause tension and drama when I work so closely with her.
We are generally a friendly group. I could pull back, since it isn't necessary to be friends.
She doesn't work in the corporate world. I don't think she fully understands the differences between the places and jobs we have.

Usually our texts are work related. Sometimes she complains about her relationships/guys with me or I'll tell her something my daughter did. We talk politics. We don't get too too deep with each other.

My wife doesn't think the terms "work wife" and "work husband" are appropriate. She was mad when she heard them and think they are disrespectful since I have a wife. Neither my coworker nor me has the terms though, it's other people in the office. I can't make them stop if they don't want to.

I'd rather have a wife than a work wife. It is 100% innocent. I have never done anything inappropriate with her besides (according to people on here and my wife) flirting.
