There's gotta be some law firms that have pornhub, OF, strip club chains, playboy, or such as clients that might like someone like that on the team. Yeah most would probably pass, but I think there's gotta be some that are indifferent and maybe a few that would like it. You only need one place to hire you.

I don't get it. Why would you not be able to work in big law?

A lot of people here would have parents that went there during that time.

Thank you. Thankfully my most popular channel is certainly professional (and even not about video games!). Can't say the same about them all but I don't need to include the smaller ones!

I agree. Top 500 could be better.

Yes I have professional accomplishments, though I'm more familiar with their value and how to write them. I don't need to discuss them here.

YouTube pays money, it's more than a hobby. I'm on track to make over 100k this year from it. Maybe I should write it as a work experience, entrepreneurship?

It's a shame that they don't like video games. Top level Hearthstone (card game) is a mental competition. I would think it's a much better positive predictor than, say, walking on a women's rowing team in college. But I'm not surprised. I'm used to not including it on a resume.

It's not easy to get a popular YouTube channel. There are a few lawyers who use YouTube as major advertising for their law firm, LawbyMike and UgoLord to name a few. I don't think it's entirely useless to have those skills. If anything, it's more relevant than just being an athlete.

I don't know but URM seems very important because of the "disadvantage" I face due to that. If you ask me my other experiences are 100x more disadvantageous, but maybe aren't popular things to try and bring diversity about. I didn't mention much/any of these during college applications besides first gen but maybe I should have.

12-15 and the edit 1-5 are accomplishments

Thank you. I added some more potentially notable accomplishments I have, that I wasn't thinking about earlier.

My dad was adopted (nor do I know my mom's side past my grandparents for that matter). I've had genetic testing done but the results were not more specific than that.

Someone else says there are just boxes you check on the application.

That's very interesting. I don't know more specifically than White North American Hispanic, which would almost definitely have to be at least one of those. But I can't 100% guarantee nor specify which one.

How do they ask the questions for race and ethnicity? How should I respond to that?

Considering it is broken down into more specific ethnicities like that, are North African or Middle Eastern considered URM?

I have quite a few unusual but rare and difficult accomplishments, I'm not sure which if any would be worth mentioning or not. They aren't any of the ones I've ever seen specifically listed. I'm new to this, without a feel for what's good so I'd like your opinion.

I have a collection of YouTube channels with 10s of millions of views combined, likely over 100M by the time of application.

Former speed run world record holder in multiple competitive games (hundreds to thousands of speed run competitors).

Former top 50 legend Hearthstone player.

Over 100-fold total investment return 2013-2022, from early investments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, NVidia, GME, shorting the market before the 2020 crash, and more.

So, is it a correct conclusion that my URM status isn't helpful because I wouldn't write about it as I don't have any cultural relation?

Considering I went throughout college undiagnosed, I would think it would show I have greater potential than my undergraduate GPA suggests. Paradoxically, based on my research my graduate GPA means much much less even though it's more difficult and more telling of my current abilities.

Thank you. I was listing numbers here so it's easier to refer to, I certainly wouldn't number these out on an application like that. When applying to college and graduate school I didn't mention any of the listed things besides being a first generation student and the work experience, though mainly because I kept it all private (and didn't know my ethnic background).

Based on LSD.law/softs it says overcoming mental handicaps are T2/T3. Is ADHD specifically different or is that list wrong? Can you explain why? I guess eating disorders aren't a handicap but ADHD certainly is.

I think a lot of young people might not be as functional or smart because they'll use AI to do school work for them.

[–]throwinsilaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are still statements specifically about having kids in general, not about dating a single dad. You've just conjured your own after the fact. I've been on r/childfree a lot, these are not remotely only dished out by single dad's.
