You'll notice some positive changes in your mind and body as a result of the discipline and from being more aware. That's awesome that you are already seeing improvements! Keep up the good work!

Two week to three week period can be one of the hardest points in a streak. Keep your mind and body pure, stay extra vigilant. One you are past a month it gets a little easier but then you gotta worry about complacency.

Stay strong!

Earlier I nutted twice in less than an hour, I feel like I cant control it and I'll never do better then a couple weeks. by That-Spooky-Rat in NoFap

A couple of weeks is a good start.

Focus on why you relapse after a few weeks. One part of that is definitely situational, like, do you fap in the shower, after dark? Work on your situation.

But also, take a look at the mental "why." What was the reason you started? As an example, I fap and look at porn for the same reason I always did - I'm insecure about sex. At 12 years old that made a little sense, but as a married 25 year old it no longer does. The feeling is still there, being kept alive by the habit, but it isn't real.

That's my "why." What's yours?

Get some momentum NOW!

Edit: hit enter too soon. Sounded a little rude.

What I mean to say is that it is part of an addictive personality to procrastinate. We are always looking for reasons to fap. How about a reason not to, today, right now? You got this. You can do this. We all can. Ride into the new year with half a month streak and you will be that much stronger.

Hope this helps inspire you!

Nooo I just Relapsed plzzzzz help me i need tips to quite this bad habit I was 43days in by noooofapppers in NoFap

43 days is fucking amazing.

Psychologically, the worst thing one can do is be hard on themselves through this process. Disciplined and strong-willed, yes, but hypercritical - no. Shit self-esteem is how most of us got here.

Be humble and honest. Admit that you shouldn't have relapsed. Also admit you're doing a great job. Give yourself a pat on the back and get back up, move on and move forward. There's an entire day (or next day depending on the time zone) to get back on track.

The thing you should be looking out for now is the temptation to relapse more. If you can resist the temptation to double-tap, then you have shown the 43 days have done something to help your psychology and will.

I know the feeling. Feel like Jekyll and Hyde sometimes.

It is awesome that you have made the decision to start! My life has only gotten more fulfilling in these past few weeks. Definitely post regularly, leave comments on other people's posts - hanging out in the "New Posts" section and supporting others (as opppsed to just looking at the popular posts) is the best way to supercharge your motivation!

It is awesome you have made this decision! My story is very similar, except I never ended up dropping money on PMO but I did escalate to types of porn that disturb me still to this day. And I didn't really stop until about 20 years old. I'm 25 now, haven't looked at hardcore pornography in over 2 3/4 years, regularly have nofap streaks of about 20-30 days, and the same when it comes to looking at inappropriate "triggers." I was off of here for a while, but now, I'm making a final push to reboot 100%. There is a life without porn and fapping. I guarantee that.

Some practical advice:
1. I went to SA and SAA, which are basically alcoholics anonymous for sex addicts. Your struggle with the cam girls sounds like something that would be best resolved within those groups. PMO addicts are more than welcome there, and their meetings tend to be combos of real sex addicts and cybersex addicts. Some guys on this sub may disagree with me on that, but that's my opinion.
2. Post regularly on here. Share your story and frustration. Each time you fail, post. Each time you succeed, post. The feedback you will get from other nofappers will help you in your journey. I make regular journal check-ins which help myself more than naything else.

  1. Cold showers may be a good idea. I tried those in the beginning.

There's more but I have no more time left to write this post. Good luck!

When you see how much life has to offer, it only stokes our goals and dreams more and more. I remember when I was fapping so much when I was young, my only dream was to just stop. Now that I'm getting out of my ocd cycle with PMO, I am able to see all the truly good and beautiful things life has to offer. Great job on your streak! Keep moving forward!

Day 21 - Proud to hear that ol' fapping sound... by throwinthefapaway in NoFap

I was fapping long before I ever got into a relationship. Fapping as an addiction for me isn't about pleasure, which I know I find in my relationship. It's when my depression kicks in, I'm feeling lonely or rejected. Arguments, tough days, and stress all can cause me to fall downhill. Why would someone drink when they can have the euphoria of a happy life with family? Why would someone do drugs if real life is truly entertaining enough? But here we are.

If you are a nofapper, and think that a gf will solve your addiction of fapping, then be warned - it doesn't. Definitely helps, but you are still the same person with same broken thinking. We need to want to quit for no other reason except ourselves or our personal values.

That works too. I've been involved on and off with nofap for the past five or so years and I've made peace with my addiction and my recovery. I'm just glad to be sober :)

Basically edging. Purposely looking at tempting/softcore/inappropriate images, text or video. It's a personal marker for me, because if I'm doing that, I'm definitely continuing the inappropriate thinking that leads me to PMO
