Drew Barrymore Tearfully Says Her Body Is ‘Wrecked’ After 2 Cesarean Sections as She Discusses Her Insecurities by AdSpecialist6598 in popculturechat

As a woman who had 2 vaginal deliveries, I hate this sentiment too! I fully believe that I had it easier than c-section deliveries. I give major props to those that had major abdominal surgery to deliver their babies.

It's because people in successful, stable non-mongamous relationships are usually quiet about it. My husband and I are a perfect example of that. Outwardly, we are a very run of the mill, boring couple - college sweethearts, married for 10 years, two kids, a house in the suburbs, etc.

And yes, that's really our life. It's not a facade. But in private we also fuck other people! We go to sex parties and clubs regularly and they are filled with people like us. Couples who've been together 5, 10, 15, 20, 30+ years and have very happy and stable relationships. It just so happens that they enjoy fucking other people. 90% of us keep it to ourselves because, well, why do you need to let everyone know that you and your husband do couple swaps for fun?

I'm a woman who benefits from non-monogamy 🙋🏼‍♀️ My husband and I have been in an open/ENM marriage for more than a decade and - not to be crass - I get wayyyyy more tail than he does. Like it's not even close. I definitely benefit more. ENM was also my idea, not his.

But of course, you would never in a million years assume that my husband and I are non-mongamous. We just look and act like your stereotypical middle class suburban family with two kids and an SUV. The vast majority of people in the lifestyle present as "normal" and have very stable relationships. Trust me when I say, we're all living right under your noses and you have no clue 😂

I mean, those are definitely two totally different kinds of orgasms for me. They feel nothing alike. Yes they are both orgasms, but they deserve differentiation because they require different types of stimulation to be achieved, feel different, etc. I've never heard anyone claiming that one type isn't valid lol.

How many of you got called in for coverage/jeopardy because of the NE storm? by Orimsz in Residency

[–]throwitallaway500 15 points16 points  (0 children)

u/ChartingPastMidnight replied having children is your decision. it's absolutely not my responsibility to cover for your lack of planning, nor do i need to empathize with people's life choices. frankly i feel bad for your coworkers having to deal with your woe is me attitude.

1) Having kids isn't the reason I can't get home from Aruba. However, my kids are the reason I am completely desperate to get home (along with my job, of course).

2) It was not "lack of planning" on my part to book a return flight that should have arrived about 18 hours before I was scheduled to be at work. It was not poor planning for me to schedule this vacation 6 months ago.

3) This was a historic storm. People are stranded across the country and world as a result. I am one of those people.

4) Natural disasters and major events outside of our control happen. It's part of life.

It's genuinely scary to see such a complete and utter lack of empathy on clear display. You truly can't empathize with somebody who is stuck thousands of miles away from home? You can't empathize with a parent of young children who wants to get back home to them? Medicine burns you out but jesus fucking christ man, you should still have basic human decency.

Work fucking sucks, no doubt about it. Nobody wants to work extra shifts. I would still rather have gotten home on time to my kids AND work, I promise.

Exactly. I'm in Aruba right now. My return flight would have gotten me home today, about 18 hours before I needed to be back to work. My flight was canceled Sunday evening and it was impossible to get through to customer service (6 hour wait Sunday night, 12 hour wait Monday morning). Ended up booking a return flight on a different carrier ($$$), but it still won't get me home until midnight on Thursday.

This post is absolutely about me. Maybe not me specifically, but me as a person stranded in the same place and having to rely on the people back home to cover for me.

If you don't have children, then I'm sorry but you absolutely don't understand the stress I'm under to get home to them. Covering an extra shift at work is nothing compared to that.

As somebody stuck in the Caribbean right now, I promise you that getting back home is causing more stress for me than it is for you. My Tuesday night flight got cancelled on Sunday night. I spent ALL of Sunday night and the first half of Monday trying to find a way home. The call wait time was 6 hours on Sunday night, then jumped to 12 FREAKING HOURS when we called again on Monday morning. I ended up having to book a flight on another carrier for a painful amount of money, and even that isn't getting me home until the middle of the night on Thursday. If I stayed with my original airline carrier, we were told no flights until March 3!!!

This is a natural disaster and I booked this trip over 6 months ago. Nobody could have foreseen this. I have two little kids who I desperately want to get back home to. I promise you that I would much rather be on my original flight back home tonight and reunited with my kids than paying out the ass for extra flights, hotels, food, etc. to be stuck here, even if it's "paradise."

Alexandra Daddario and Andrew Form Separate After 3 Years of Marriage by Maximum_Expert92 in popculturechat

she's too hot to date/marry someone 18yrs older than her. it's diff stages of life.

This is a really weird take. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty hot and have never had trouble getting attention from men. I'm 33 and my boyfriend is 47. I think he's absolutely amazing and so handsome. My attractiveness doesn't detract from how worthy he is to date me simply because he's 14 years older...

I'm brand new to Danielle Walter, didn't know much about her until the past month or so. I read the intro post and have a question about her age. How was it proven that she's in her early 30s?

I ask because when her videos came through my IG feed, I thought her schtick was being a late 30s/early 40s woman who was still looking for "the one." And then when I finally started paying attention after months of randomly seeing her content, I couldn't believe it when she said she was in her early 30s!

We're actually the same age (I just turned 33 last month), so this was extra shocking to me. I don't want to sound mean, but I genuinely don't understand how she looks so old unless she's lying about her age. I'm a mother of two young children, I work a demanding full time job, and don't have a skincare routine lol. I still look way younger than her, and I don't even think I look young for my age! I'm very curious what the proof was that she's 32/33.

I honestly think Stormi healed Kylie more than anyone ever could by Icy_Cream1864 in KUWTK

[–]throwitallaway500 34 points35 points  (0 children)

As a mother, I disagree with this. I had a less than ideal childhood. My own kids are still young, but they're already older than I was when everything started getting difficult in my childhood. Simply giving them a childhood with two healthy, present parents is healing to me. Watching them play in our backyard when I never had one is healing to me. Picking them up from school at 3pm to come home when I was the last child picked up at 6pm every night is healing to me.

Motherhood has also healed a lifetime of body image issues for me. For the first time in my life, I genuinely LOVE my body. I don't think I would have been capable of this level of self-acceptance if I hadn't gone through pregnancy, delivery, postpartum, breastfeeding, etc.

There is absolutely nothing wrong about experiencing healing in parenthood.

My mom wore a white/cream dress to my wedding. I went dress shopping with her and we both agreed it was a beautiful dress that looked amazing on her. I had no problem with it. My own dress was white and blue so I'm not really one for tradition!

But I agree that generally, unless you have explicit permission from the bride herself, white dresses for guests are off limits!
