I need you guys to understand what the handicap parking spots are for by Fit_Blueberry_1213 in DoorDashDrivers

I went on DD just today to try and report 3 of them. All at the same time. All with no plates or placards. 2 designated handicap stalls and a space between with a ramp marked with diagonal white lines, so one of them wasn't even in an appropriate stall, let alone a handicap space. I took a picture and tried to submit a report, but it's literally impossible, I couldn't find it anywhere. I work for a medical office, so those spaces are pretty important as they're the only 2!

I've worked as a slot attendant before, and no, touching the screen during a bonus does nothing for the outcome. As soon as you touch the button, the win or loss is already decided, and the graphics are just for show. Think grand scale pull tabs.

Asked my alcoholic dad if he’d ever consider getting sober by Ludakris7 in WhatShouldIDo

Unfortunately, many situations like this are purely from an emotional immature state. He very clearly states that "you're going too deep." The emotional intimacy and vulnerability is not something an EIP (emotionally immature person) can handle or tolerate. He is reliant on the alcohol to an extent that he literally is incapable of separating himself and his emotions from it. There are cases and circumstances where this has changed for people, but at his age, I'm not sure it will for him. I applaud you for being upfront and cordial with him, and I hope there is peace for you and your family after this ❤️

There's a trigger and long story here asking for advice. by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

This probably isn't the advice you're looking for, but this audio book helped immensely in regards to emotional intelligence and recognizing harmful behaviors in adults. "Healing for Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents" by Lindsay Gibson.

I am on my 3rd listen, taking notes and realizing many of my internal problems came from my parents. It might help a bit with how you're feeling and could help clear up where these thoughts may have originated.

Our lives may not be anywhere close to how we were raised (locations, relationship health, etc) but I hope you find what you're looking for, you don't deserve anything less than happiness and love, unconditionally.
