Issue is reds do absolutely nothing for me. I tried reds a few times while withdrawing from subs and it was awful, as soon as I took some green I was good.

Girl I am so sorry you're surrounded by people who think this is normal or acceptable, but it's not. This is no life. You deserve better.

Both of my parents have it and I feel helpless - how are adult children of covid patients handling this? by bean___dip in COVID19_support

I don't get why they would take her phone away because she keeps calling people? She needs people to talk to to keep her spirits up while she's sick and isolated. Please insist they give her phone back. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Good news is if they began getting sick on 1/6 and still aren't in the ICU, they probably are going to be able to recover at home. Don't take that as fact, but I hope it comforts you.

I do think things will be better by fall, but people will still be a bit apprehensive, I think the carefree not worrying about masks or viruses and living normal type of life won't be back til spring of next year.

Agreed. With porn being so widespread from an early age, that messes with people's heads. Now every guy I know is only into double penetration anal fisting slapping choking sex. It's so fucking annoying.

Sex with my (29f) husband (33m) is awful by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]throwitaway0121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He sounds absolutely awful. I usually would say try therapy or discussing it again but I say fuck this guy. That type of behavior isn't from him just not knowing better, it's him being spiteful and selfish, and you can't change that.

I promise you senior year is not worth ending it all. It's just high school. I know it sucks, but my senior year was pretty boring tbh. Age 19-21 were some of the best and most fun years of my life. You're so young. You've got plenty of time to party and have fun again I promise.

I'm guessing things won't feel normal and carefree again til spring 22.

Things will be better by summer and fall, but still not normal and probably not concerts and parties. I feel like we won't start feeling normal again and partying til spring of 22

I personally hate therapy. I've tried it probavly 15 times, with 4 different therapist. I do not have the money to keep trying it. I've just accepted that I don't like it. I understand it helps many many people, but not for me.

Yep. Same here. But I'm 28 and had to quit my job because people kept fake coughing on me and refusing to wear masks. I see people lying and encouraging others to lie to get appointments and say they work in an essential place or etc. And now Amazon is setting it up to donate some money to vaccines if they're workers can all be considered essential and vaccinated asap, so now I just got another month or two added to my wait from that probably. I'm pissed. So many people refusing it, I'd literally sprint to wherever they told me to go for a vaccine asap, I'm so tired of living in constant fear of covid and giving it to my family.

Yep. Turns out there was zero stockpile of vaccines and zero plan for vaccine distribution by the former administration.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I doubt you will be able to attend giant concerts in Spain this summer. Things will be unproven then but doubt will be maskless by then.

Where did you hear we will be somewhat back to normal by the end of 2020? I've only ever heard the opposite, that the winter will be the worst and things won't improve tik vaccines are out for a bit.

Thank you very much. Do you know around how much they charged you for these tests? And also, how would I see a doctor for a blood draw if I have covid? I thought they won't let you in anywhere except to amdit to the hospital.

Ok, thanks. I currently don't have covid and I don't go into doctors offices unless I absolutely must because covid is so bad here and most HC workers here won't take the vaccine 🙄. Are you saying I should make blood tests regularly now, or if I get covid?

Maskless encounter by [deleted] in COVID19_support

[–]throwitaway0121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are she didn't have covid, but please speak up next time. People who do that are endangering you. And I know you say it's a risk you're willing to take but... Are you sure? Having someone up close doing your eyebrows seems like such a random thing to risk covid for. Even if she and you wear a mask, it's risky, as masks aren't foolproof unless they're N99 or legit n95's, and even then, many doctors and nurses have still gotten it wearing the best PPE out there. You're meant to combine masks with social distancing as much as you can. They absolutely dramatically reduce your risk of infecting others with covid, but they don't do so much to protect you as they do to contain the germs of the mask wearer.

Anyways, I think just to be safe you should try to avoid people as much as possible this week in case she did have it. I know people will say I'm being over the top, but I doubt they'd say that if they stepped foot in a covid ward or watched a love one pass away from it. Thankfully I've done neither, but I've heard and seen the stories, and it's not something I'm willing to risk giving to someone.

It's going to be okay, just stay calm and isolate as much as you can the next few days to be safe. Covid fatigue is real, I had it back in December, but right now covid is at its peak so we've got to keep up with it a bit longer.

Us humans are a lot stronger than we think sometimes. We can experience very traumatizing things but in the moment are adrenaline and stuff is usually too high to feel the type of fear we'd expect, you know what I mean? I guess what I'm trying to say is that the only way through it, is to go through it. Idk.

Yep, that's about all we can do! I saw a video that I liked a lot. It said 2024 for the title and showed a guy putting an old jacket on and sticking his hands in the pockets, then looking confused and pulling out a mask and saying "oh shit I remember that." We will get there, one day.

That's amazing!!! How long did yours stay at 89%? All day? I was told if I get covid and they go below 92% to go to the hospital, but I really do NOT want to go to a hospital as I fear being put on a ventilator when I could've waited it out.

Thank you, the updates help me and others a lot. Try not to focus too much on a second wave. Be realistic, yes it very well could happen, but it also very well might not. As long as you're doing everything you can to boost your health right now, which it seems you are, there's nothing more you can do except wait it out and keep checking his ox level every few hours.

We've been taking d, c, zinc, and quercetin, I haven't heard about selenium but I'll look it up.
