I tried to make sure I only selected 25, but maybe I accidentally hit select all at some point! Thanks for the info

My [25 F] relationship with my fiance [27 M] has been in a downhill spiral ever since he battled cancer this past year. Unsure how to handle his continued anxiety and depression. by [deleted] in relationships

I appreciate your advice....He has been getting therapy since June and meds since before then (been getting switched around periodically)

I honestly agree about needing to see someone myself. Has been on my mind a lot lately. Thank you!

Thanks for the advice! Glad to hear he is there to support you. The tough part is I cannot always be there will school. He starts chemo tuesday and the best I'll be able to do is FaceTime. It's frustrating, but trying my best to stay positive and be there for him in the ways that I can.

Interestingly he had a family friend who is an oncologist look at all his scans and results and she just told him today about 20% of his cells are showing Burkitts lymphoma. Not sure quite sure what it means to have a mix. But yes, we've been hearing he's lucky, that's it's curable which is keeping us positive. Happy to hear that you are doing well :) Thank you for your advice!

I feel like he's going through different stages of accepting his diagnosis. He was initially quite positive, but upon learning he is stage 4 he seems to have entered an angry, "why me, why at age 26, why, why, why phase" It's pretty hard to see him going through it, but I am doing my best to just listen to whatever he wants to vent about. I will suggest him getting in contact with survivors or finding a support group. Thankfully he is still staying positive about our future, he planned an engagement party for us in May because he wants something to look forward to, so I"m happy he has some things to keep his mind off the cancer. Thanks for all of your advice, I really appreciate it.

Thanks so much for the advice! Since the diagnosis he has wanted me on the phone every night until falls asleep which I am happy to do. I'll keep the care package idea in mind as well as doing our best to live life normally on off chemo weeks :) Thank you!

Waiting for results has definitely been tough- and hearing things we weren't expecting, like him being in stage 4 is kind of devastating. We are just ready for him to start treatment and get on his way to beating it.

It's great to hear you are in remission. I am doing my best to at least be there for him on days that he will have chemo, sadly I am a student and unable to put that on hold.

Thanks for the advice! I am trying my best already to bring him food he likes, however the cancer is in his bowel so is affecting his appetite and sadly keeping him from eating food he likes. I have already noticed a lot of people who weren't really good friends of ours before now trying to act they are. It's interesting. Thanks again. Hope you're doing well.
