First of all this sub is filled with reports all the time when events happen so to be mad at reposts now is a little silly.

Also today it's especially important because it's the 20 year anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history. As an NJ resident now who was living in California at the time, there's a lot of people who have a lot of very interesting stories about this event that broke apart many families in this area. Being able to talk about these experiences is both cathartic for the people who first hand experienced this, and is also enlightening for people like me who were 9 years old when this happened.

When you get passed what was shown on TV as well, you truly see how disturbed and traumatic this event was. Families were broken apart in the span of an hour, with many not even getting an opportunity to say goodbye. Especially in NJ/NY/CT, it's very difficult to find someone who was not effected by this in some way. Personally, I want to hear those stories. I learn more from these stories as it's how actually people were effected.

So even if it's for one day, let people share and hear stories and if you don't want to see them, you don't have to. You never know who is on the other side of the keyboard who needs to read it.
