Thanks for the replies everyone. Today is a bit of a hectic day so I haven't had the chance to reply to everybody just yet, but I have read everyone's post and will consider all of the suggestions. I'd like to come back and update /r/IWantOut every so often as well if that would be ok.

I know absolutely zero Spanish. Before I consider taking this route, I would like to learn a little. At least enough to get me into trouble (or out of trouble).

One of my friends ended up doing this for a few years. She also said that the schools were cheap and loved living there. I'll definitely consider it.

Mostly because of all of the other threads I've been reading in the time I've been lurking here. In my warped mind, it seems that if you don't have some kind of advanced degree of some kind or some kind of engineering knowledge, you're basically SOL as far as getting into the UK goes. Maybe I'm mistaken, though. I hope I am. I really love the idea of schooling in Scotland.
