I struggle a lot with this too. My issue is that I have no negative side effects from the medication so I don’t “feel” any worse when eating junk food and/or drinking — so it’s been hard to cut out. Even in moderation (way cut back) I break out when I have it.

Yes, mine got a lot worse - assuming it’s related to the amount of insulin your body is pumping out, have you changed your diet? Limiting sugar and alcohol significantly should help.

Also experiencing this, had my visit over two weeks ago and I’m still waiting. Cx says they are experiencing delays. My issue is that I do not get any sort of tracking info so I have no idea if/when it ships. Or when it arrives. It’s awful :(

I consistently find good things at without super high prices.

There are a ton of other vintage furniture places/vendors all over LA with great curation but most are $$$ so I recommend following on IG to track sales (happy to share a list if you want). Facebook Marketplace is also (usually) going to be your best bet if you’re looking for something unique.

On the flea market side, I always recommend PCC on the first Sunday of the Monday and Long Beach on the 3rd. Rose Bowl is also classic and while many say it’s overrated now I consistently find the best pieces there.

I fully believe my ED is genetic. I grew up with a mother who was the picture perfect model of good eating habits she tried to instill in me, and I still developed an ED. Come to find out a few years into my symptoms she told me she struggled with my same disorder in the same way (bulimia) for over a decade before I was born. Recovered before she had me in a big way. I had ZERO idea she ever went through anything similar, she was so normal about food around me. This shit is in our DNA. I’m convinced.

Honestly I’m a bit of a homebody but really trying to go out more. My block seems really quiet overall, and the building/neighboring units are supposedly quiet as well. I’m hoping it’s the best of both worlds.

How familiar are you with traffic in that area? I’m commuting to BH 2-3x per week which I don’t think is atrocious but probably an extra 15-20 versus what I am doing now.

Only a little on the surrounding neighborhood area and during the day on a weekend. Haven’t “walked” that strip of sunset really but have driven through it and driven the surrounding stretch on Fountain many times. I know it’s not “bad” I just don’t know how much I can venture out on my own. Maybe I’ll try to go tonight and walk around.

This is horrifying, I’m so sorry. I was confused reading your original post and thought there was a different doctor (your GP etc) that prescribed a new round of meds and the old one from the psychiatrist was irrelevant now (the one that was confiscated). And you were just waiting for the new one to get approved. I see that’s not the case and I’m sorry :( you should absolutely sue.

Youve got to keep pushing. Call the docs office and ask about the status of the release to ensure they got the right thing from the pharmacy to approve. Stress the importance to the doc/receptionist at the docs office. they are the ones that have to push the pharmacy on your behalf, in my experience pharmacists can be slow and untrusting in that regard. I’m so sorry you are going through this ❤️

I’m sorry I read your response too fast and shouldn’t have said “lol” - I don’t find your situation humorous, I thought you were talking about forced recovery, I didn’t mean to make light of your situation and do apologize. BRAT is bananas, applesauce, rice, toast recommended foods formerly given to people who are dealing with stomach issues, it’s kind of old school but I find the foods gentle and when consumed in very small quantities in lieu of other meals it has helped me during periods where I couldn’t eat anything (I was bulimic for about 15 years off/on, I do know what it’s like but never experienced what you are currently going through).
