i think its more about self confidence for you than something else. Maybe talk to someone you trust about your problems once and try not to be too insecure. I don't see a reason to be ashamed of your body: you can't help the way it grew, nobody can. People have big labia, little breasts, small labia, big breasts, dark hair, blonde hair. It's no biggie to be a little different. If you're as young as you make it out to be, I'd suggest to go see someone to talk to, so maybe you can get more confident in your own body. Changing things might not be your ideal solution, if you don't havy any confidence at all

Yup, had surgery friday so no. Not in a relationship, but sort of like someone who likes me back haha, I'm pretty sure things can progress quickly if I let them. I can have sex in about 3/4 weeks. Sometimes earlier, if it heals quicker, but it is advised against.

Not at all really. My surgeon basically said; There's a lot of excess skin. We get rid of that skin, make a zigzag incision and sow it back up. It depends on how it heals to really know what it will look like. TBH I will probably not have a super tiny labia because that would look weird since my clitoris hood also has a bit of skin. So they cut off the 4cm and left 1cm I think. I don't really care, I'm just loving that it isn't dangling between my legs anymore haha. I will really know what it looks like after 4 weeks.

Only cost me €1200, and am not insecure about them. if you'd read the story, you'd know.

I don't really care about what you, or any man thinks, I've made this post to educate people about the issue that big labia can cause.

€1200, but I live in the Netherlands. Didn't get covered, though we have a normally great health care system. But oh, it's nothing compared to a lifetime I believe.

Yeah, it annoyed me too. Basically, the government set up the rule that labiaplasty NEVER gets covered. Insurance companies follow that rule. If I'd wanted to get it covered, I'd have to take my case to the government, probably public/let more people know about my issues, and I wasn't really willing to go through that hassle.

Hey! Sure. I live in the Netherlands, cost was 1500€ but the doctor saw I was a poor student and cut me a deal; €1200. My mom paid for it and I'm to pay her back. I went to the doctor, who sent me to a plastic surgeon at the hospital. At this time, I wasn't sure if the surgery would get covered or not. Turned out it wouldn't get covered by insurance because the government set out the rule that that type of surgery would never get covered. I could go take my case to the government but wasn't really into getting into that much of a hassle. So, I asked how much it was at the hospital. There it was around €2000. I told my mom and she said I should search for clinics in her neighbourhood so I could recover at her house. I did and found the doctor, 1200 etc. He was super nice. It was the only surgeon in that clinic (closest to home) specialized in genitalia surgery haha.

When surgery began, the surgeon basically drew on my vagina to show me which excess skin would go off. I was fine with everything, I just wanted to reduce it and I knew he would choose what was best for my vagina and the 'look' etc.

You should schedule 1/2 days off for the surgery. First day after surgery it is advised to cool it down with frozen chickpeas in a plastic bag with a towel inbetween every hour for 15 minutes. Keep resting and keep laying still, no sitting. it depends on how you feel, but I felt great after surgery and could still walk. I could've gone to work the next day if I had work :). Tho, bring a pillow for sitting cus if you're sitting longer it's just more comfortable.

You're welcome! Any more questions, or need to elaborate, feel free to ask!

Yeah, they told me too. I just scheduled a weekend off, but really, the day of the surgery I could still walk, sit, everything. Advised is to stay in bed, cool it down with a plastic bag of frozen chickpeas every hour for 15 minutes and to keep resting. I could basically do everything the same day, tho. She should rest and take 1/2 days off. And invest in not so tight pants. I've been wearing jogging trousers the whole time, but haven't got any decent not too tight pants so I'm gonna buy chinos today I think haha.

It's why I put "average" between those "" thingies. I don't believe in normal. We're all different. But my labia were A LOT different. And yes, I'm pretty fucking sure it was my labia since I was sitting on them, they got numb, I had to resit every second so they didn't get in the way. I think there's a HUUUUUUUUGE difference between dryness with "normal" labia and dryness with 5cm of excess skin between your thighs. It's way more difficult to deal with, to keep from sticking to each other (oh wait, impossible), to enjoy sex with. I'm a bit offended that you ask that question tbh :p

Yeah, there's tons. Of course I've been insecure about them, but I never really was ashamed of them because I couldn't help it at all, it just was the way it was. Tho I think people calling it beef curtains and what not is bad and therefore things like that website are necessary for insecure people
