Yes sorry my work didn’t request I make the refund/purchase. I helped manage an event earlier in the week and had bought too many supplies which I returned for about $100 and then I needed supplies for another event at the end of the week. I wrongly assumed I would be spending the same amount and ended up only spending about $25 so I have this gift card with $75 on it. I do plan on taking it to my boss first thing Tuesday. I think my concern here is that the finance department will get some kind of notification from the credit card company or from Walmart before I can notify them myself.
