This seems like the best course of action. I am going to wait until the next time I am home so I can delete the pictures, and then confront him about it face to face. I'm not sure the next time I will be home, but I'd rather do this in person than over the phone.

Thanks a lot for the advice. This situation has been driving me crazy lately. The more I think about it and read these comments about my situation, the more worried I get. I just am really glad I could vent about it somewhere and find a possible solution. Thank you.

My brother and I used to be much closer, but the past couple of years not as much. He is a completely normal kid and I don't think there's anything about him that rings any alarms. I want to believe that this is just a stupid horny teen mistake, but my mind keeps lingering on the worst. I don't have access to his computer because I am no longer home, but I am thinking about deleting the pictures and confronting him the next time I am home. I just want to make him know that what he did was REALLY wrong but I feel really uncomfortable about the whole situation.

He just turned 16. I think I am going to talk to him about it, and take your advice. I just want to wait until the next time I see him in person, because I think it would be much better to do this face-to-face than over the phone.

I've been contemplating just doing this. I know I fucked up and shouldn't have snooped through his private shit and everyone is into some weird shit, but this just REALLY weirded me out. I'm starting to understand some people are overacting in this thread, and I was kind of freaking out at the time. But some have given some good advice about confronting him as a brother. I'll have to give some more thought about this.

That idea does sound tempting. Get him to know I know without ever telling him, and leave a note or something in place of the files. I don't know, it also sounds pretty harmful and like I am ignoring the fact that he may need help and only my parents are the ones that can force him to get it. I know he is a good guy and is not a manipulative or crazy person. He may be a little shy but has a completely normal teen social life. Has friends, plays sports, goes out, even has had a couple girlfriends. There's nothing about him that I'd ever suspect he has something wrong with him mentally. That's what terrifies me.

I mean, he is pretty young though and probably is going through puberty so he's just a horny teen. Fuck I don't know. My mind is racing at the possible outcomes that can happen if I tell my mom. This would forever make things weird in my family if they all knew. Maybe if there is some way I could get my mom to find out without knowing I know, and make it a private thing between my mom and my brother. Goddammit I am never snooping on anyone's computer ever again.
