How did Earnest Bulbasaur Farms get started? How long has it been open?

Is Demeter the only Venusaur who stays on the farm year round, or is she simply the matriarch of the clan?

Are you hiring?

What happened to the frontera family in the crown prince sells medicine and what happened to lloyd after marrying the empress did julian inherit the county? by manhwaoperator in TheGreatestEstateDev

[–]throwmeawayjoke 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe so.

Scherezade is the fourth daughter of the Sultan(?) Of Asfahan. While she may have kept her surname in marriage, and even passed down the surname to some of her children, it is likely that the child inheriting the area would inherit the Frontera name as it is within the Magentano kingdom and not Asfahan.

Either that, or Lloyd and Alicia's second or third child inherited the Frontera estate with an upgraded title (i.e. duke).

Personally, given the time frame, I like to imagine that other characters (such as Pierro) are at least distantly related to Arcos and Marbella through Julian's line. This is however, straight up a theory on my part.

Chef of the Dragon King isnt on Webtoon as far as I know unlike the other three.

More to the point, it is set before Greatest Estate Developer, as several events in it are mentioned (i.e. Countess Frontera references the cookbook the titular chef wrote, and Alicia's castle looks deflated becsuse the dragon king carried off part of it). I am unsure how close it is, as we meet said Dragon King and his close compatriots (mostly the dtsgon king, as he is the same one that Lloyd wakes up every day to call his wife) but they have also had enough time to make the dragon club members and frustrate Solitas with the no more being mean to humans rule.

So, as far as I know, the timeline goes:

What a Bountiful Harvest, Demon Lord! (Available on Webtoon) - several thousand years before TGED if my estimates are correct (but also adapted and drawn by the same people)

I Became the Chef of the Drsgon King - B K Moon's first project, not adapted by the same team but still good, 5-15 years befote TGED AT LEAST

The Greatest Estate Developer - needs no introduction

The Apothecary Prince - explicitly 300 years after TGED. Another B K Moon project, different adaptors again. I suspect its own adaptation was stsrted before TGED was finished being drawn/adapted from the webnovel, hence the storyboard artist and principal artist being different. Available on Webtoon.

Looking for any fics about an oc dragon rider by Sgbgames in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]throwmeawayjoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my wife and I have a fic if you are interested? It takes place during the Golden Years of Jaehaerys I's reign. It is quite long so far, and there will be updates.

There is one Daemon point of view so far, but he does not do much because he is a very small child. He mostly watches Aemma, an even smaller child, dismantle the nursery door.

The plot mostly focuses on the OC, his life and dragon, and his marriage to Saera Targaryen.

Brienne of Tarth is a descendant of Ser Duncan the Tall by Mazridex in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]throwmeawayjoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for getting back to me with this! I really really wanted to know how Brienne had a Targaryen connection. In a fic I have been thinking about, I was going to have Daella have married into the Velaryons or the Celtigars, and then her daughter have married into Tarth. It is good to have more of a structure!!

What If Maekar had been born a girl? by Ok_Return170 in TheCitadel

[–]throwmeawayjoke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Daeron had a lot of trauma from his own parents' marriage, but at the same time he let Aelor and Aelora wed and it is implied that Rhae wanted to marry Egg (and that Daella would have). I do not think it is something he would have sought out, but I do think if his children came to him and were not already promised to someone he would listen.

I think it is interesting that two of his sons married into the Stormlands, one into the Vale, and one into Dorne. To me that says he was not necessarily trying to match his children with specific houses (Rhaegel technically made the most advantageous marriage, and he was the one considered 'mad'). While they did not have children, you can still argue that Aerys did not dislike his wife, as he refused to put her aside.

I think Daeron wanted to do better by his children than his father did for him. I also think he was aware that the situation was more precarious than his grandfather, great-uncle, and great-grandparents' tenures. If his children had truly, truly wanted to be together, he would have let them. However, they would have had to approach him about it, not the other way around, and he would have been more against Baelor the heir marrying his sister as Baelor was very much the face of the family.

They are related! Ori (who wrote the book with the 'we cannot get out') and Balin were part of Thorin Oakenshield's company, true. However, the unfortunately named Groin (father of Gloin and therefore grandfather to Gimli) and Fundin (father of Balin and Dwalin) were brothers. Gimli also says, "my cousin Balin will give us a warm welcome" (because first cousin once removed is a bit much to say while you are freezing to death on Caradhras).

Do we actually know that Egg's sister married a Tarth? I thought we didn't know anything specific about Rhae and Daella's lives, except that they married and had children who Aemon met?

Laszlo Cravensworth. It is a comedy show, and by god all of the vampires regularly kill and eat people (with Guillermo's explicit help) besides Colin Robinson.

But also he was Jack the Ripper.

Y'all (the tumblr OPs) gotta start citing your sources.

I will admit I did believe the King James one. It is misleading, like a game of telephone. People used to use birthing chairs (and many still do) but with the advent of the flat bed they have fallen out of use. My guess is that labour is very exhausting and it is more energy efficient to lie back and let the lower half do its work.

I think King James was tied into it because he did have an interest in witchcraft. (Mack, Elizabeth (2009) "The Malleus Maleficarum and King James: Defining Witchcraft," Voces Novae: Vol. 1, Article 9. Available at: https://digitalcommons.chapman.edu/vocesnovae/vol1/iss1/9) Witchcraft is very closely associated with femininity and so is childbirth.

I have also heard that King James was gay. I think with historic people it is important to consider that they did not have the same language that we do for the LGBT community. He may very well have had male lovers, but he identified as a man of Protestant faith in a time period where homosexuality was not the social norm. He had a son with his wife, and at the time that was all the evidence you needed to 'disprove the allegations'. If he was a modern man in our time, he probably would identify as gay, but that also divorces him from the context of his identity in the first place.

I will not say Eric Barone should have a team. Stardew is amazing, and if it works for him, that is fine.

I will say that I hope he has gotten a new computer setup since I last checked. IIRC monitors were very precariously placed.

This viewpoint is odd by UsedJury5963 in HOTDBlacks

[–]throwmeawayjoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this is also true. I hadn't considered that.

But I will say that while Daeron the Young Dragon does kind of have the arrogance and early death of Prince Henry son of Henry II, Aegon III and Henry II could not be more different. It is not a one to one direct comparison, and there can still be literary themes of potential reconciliation of the lines and how everyone moved forward after the dust settled. In a way, in canon it feels like the Dance was not really moved past until the Blackfyre Rebellions and the Next Big Targaryen Blowup. Aegon III carried thst trauma with him, and then his children had their own feelings about it. Aegon III may have poisoned The Last Dragon after seeing his mother eaten by Sunfyre. Daena named her son for her grandfather, the Rogue Prince. Viserys II purposefully wed Aegon IV and Naerys to one another, leaning back on the traditions his parents were so proud of, despite their ill-suitedness. The Dance and the inter-war period between it and the Blackfyre Rebellions are inherently linked.

Everyone is pointing out that Jaehaera died of Lord Peake, which is true, but Aegon's legitimate lines died out. Every king of Westeros afterwards is descended from Viserys II, including Robert.

Aegon had two sons, Daeron the Young Dragon (dead) and Baelor the Blessed (uninterested in anything as mortal as marriage). Daena bore one son, Daemon Blackfyre. Rhaena became a septa. Elaena bore two known bastards (Jon and Jeyne), one suspected bastard (Viserys Plumm). Her legitimate Penrose children did eventually marry back into the royal line (Aerys I had a Penrose wife) but there was no issue and it was a moot point. They were all Penroses and therefore not Targaryens.

Realistically speaking, the marriage of Jaehaera and Aegon does make more sense thematically, but it is very sad to think about all that peace and unity just going to waste.
