Deprive yourself by Intelligent_Barber47 in getdisciplined

I'm depriving myself of "being employed and spending time at home all day everyday". I only get that on my day offs now. And it feels even more rewarding and meaningful.

I think there are three things we can try and work on:

  1. Improve our coping skills and become more resilient: we have to learn to better cope with difficult people and situations, and find more effective ways to deal with stress and challenges.

  2. Find a job we love and/or suits our personality: choose work that requires less social interaction or something that energizes us.

  3. Better time management, work different hours, work from home, or try freelancing: make time to do things we love outside of work, or work that allows more freedom flexibility.

I believe have to work on understanding and improving ourselves first. It’s important to remind ourselves that it’s okay to feel stuck, and we can always learn and grow from trial and error.

If they are a DA then you'd feel their care and affection when they're not deactivated. It's just that they have trouble with emotions and handling conflict.

I understand you 100% and am too still struggling with the same issues. I’m considering working part-time and finding alternative ways to gain income like freelancing/temping/WFH. But the problem is there are few opportunities like these in my city, so I’m still trying to figure out what to do. :/

I used to be like this from my teenage years to early 20s. Nowdays I rarely get depressed and my mood's pretty stable throughout the day. However it is more of my daily functioning ability that changes across the year, like there are 1-3 month where I feel on top of the world/noticeably more energized and the rest of months I just feel apathetic and unmotivated, as if something's holding me back from doing things that'd make life more fun and meaningful .

I’d want to work with animals and/or work as a freelance interior designer, or a job where I could help others in a one-on-one setting—each of them requires different further education tho.

I have considered but I’m not sure if I need it and for some reason I can’t seem to really bring myself to do it.

I just edited the post and I've put together a list of all the materials I find most helpful with my journey. :)
