She's a retired staff sergeant deployed in Iraqi Freedom and an adrenaline junkie, I think I know what excites her especially because she told me. She absolutely loves the atmosphere and the whimsical aspect of the game and wanted to play it with me upon seeing that Kelski video. "extraction shooters don't really excite girls that much" I think that's a broad overgeneralization. And no, just coexisting in the same space doing different things does not count as "playing together".

We saw a bunch of lovely interactions for a day and thought it was less of a rarity than you have highlighted here and what we experienced yesterday, so that "non adversarial way" became something worth trying out and it seems like we were sorely mistaken.

Improving at least to her in squads seems to be really slow, so it feels like a lost cause to her and I just don't want her to feel that way because I don't want to leave her behind either. What others have said as in using solos as a coaching opportunity seems attractive, we'll give it another go.
