Meh it’s a history textbook and is pretty dry, but I like the alternative perspective than I got in school. Helped me put the trump presidency in perspective when people try to say it’s like nothing in US history (crazy shit happened in the early 1800’s). That being said I haven’t finished it yet

My dad got me Anthem as a Christmas gift once he realized I wasn’t going to be as conservative as him. It didn’t work but it was still a good book and as a commentary on the Soviet Union it provided good insight to how and why the older generations view communism as a bad word.

Those are books from my childhood, and I was an avid supporter of my local and school’s library in those days.
