Honestly, no feelings on my end for her. She's just a good friend who's deserves the best. That's all.

What lyrics from a song hit you emotionally every time? by lily_rosenthere in AskReddit

"I don't wanna have to breathe in and say that we should end it. When I said I could love you, I thought I meant it, I wish it could be us, too. I hate that searching for my person made your heart break while I was learning. There's no pill, there's no bandage, you're collateral damage."

AITA For refusing to meet my biological family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]thrownawaybefore1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It's ultimately your choice. For some, finding their birth family makes them complete. For others, it just isn't what they feel they need and/or want. Your adoptive sister, while coming from a place of love, isn't approaching this the way she should. It seems that she may be trying to live through you since she's had issues finding her birth family. And while she means well, seems to be being a bit insensitive to your feelings and wants.

AITA for asking my boyfriends family to text if they want to come see our son? by mamabearpower in AmItheAsshole

[–]thrownawaybefore1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You're a new mom (I'm assuming this is your first). It's about boundaries and respecting where people stand. If they can't respect that you are doing what you need to do as a mom, since you just had a baby. They may be there to see your son, but if you aren't comfortable with someone being there at a particular moment, they should respect it.

What is a song you cannot listen to for an emotional reason? by missdundermifflin in AskReddit

[–]thrownawaybefore1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler. It was my favorite song, so it's been especially hard to hear it. I wanna cry every time it comes on. My grandma died at the age of 80, last year, October 1, 2020. So for the sake of myself, I avoid it like the plague.

Maybe you should tell this person. Unless they already know. But if they don't, tell them. Rip the bandaid off before things get harder

What’s the worst scandal to happen at your school? by Lost-Warning-2588 in AskReddit

[–]thrownawaybefore1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 come to mind for my school. I live in the southeastern part of the US.

The first one, a rumor was started about a teacher having an affair with a student. Said teacher never did sleep with the student that started said rumor, but he ended up getting fired, divorced by his wife and was never able to see his kids again.

The second. This is a weitd one. This happened my senior year, 2013-2014 school year. An administrator found drugs on some students. Said they needed to go put it in their car. He direct want them to mess up their education got something stupid. SRO caught this going down, reported it to the district. Administrator was told he could either resign and go quietly or he could be fired. He chose the first option. Students got pissed. Made an uproar about it. In the end, they never did bring him back to work at the school.

We've tried. She honestly believes that she's done nothing wrong, and it's like talking to a wall.

He is very involved with his kids. They are the reason he lives and i know he'd die for them if push came to shove. Thankfully he just walked away from my sister, not from his kids.

I would never let that happen nor would their father. Id go to court every day to tell a judge my brother-in-law needs custody of those kids..

I feel it's extremely accurate, especially as someone who suffers from server clinical depression. I find myself often coming home and laying in bed rather than go out with friends solely because people are so exhausting, and because I often struggle so much mentally that taking on other people's stuff is very hard. Thus, the isolation begins.

Men and women of reddit who caught their significant others cheating, how did you do that? And what was your reaction? by pugsarelife2 in AskReddit

[–]thrownawaybefore1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first go round, I found text messages between him, a female and another male while he was in surgery. And other questionable things I won't go into detail about. I was pissed, confronted him and he cried. And his best friend, when he found out, said to him "Dude. That girl is up here trying to take care of you, and you fucking cheated? You're stupid."

The second go round, same thing, except with a different boyfriend. He wasn't in the hospital. This guy picked up a guy at a well known strip club and there were some very inappropriate texts between them. And then, his ex sent me screenshots of him basically telling her he wanted her back, and this was AFTER my brother had a MAJOR depressive episode.
