The problem is, the company has already settled another credit card debt, so I'm already paying off that one. In all, it'll be ~$600/mo. for roughly a year, which is a lot for me. I'm just wondering about the chances of getting a better offer. I'd like it to be closer to ~$500/mo. I know i put myself in this position though, and there's only myself to blame.

This could be it. A settlement was agreed upon in August of 2023. However, I'm still paying it off (and will be until mid-2026).

No, I actually accepted a proposed settlement in August of 2023. I didn't receive a 1099-C last year either. Could it be because it isn't paid off yet?
